I purchased this when I installed a Samsung 840 Pro 256GB solid state Hard Drive in my Desk Top computer
Just what I needed to mount a Solid State drive in a desktop computer.
This is a nice adapter for installation of an upgraded SSD Solid State Hard Drive
Ease of use: 10/10Ease of installation: 8/10 - wire issue stated aboveSatisfaction
Like most Silverstone products, build quality is excellent, and it comes with all of the screws that you'll need to secure your small hard or solid state drives to the assembly
Works fine, looks clean-2Description says Locking, but its not. its loose fitting which is annoying when trying to hide cables
the metal is so incredibly hard so attempting to make the hole that incy wincy tiny bit bigger required a hammer and nails designed for concrete, to distort the whole enough to fit the rail enough for the snug fit of the top quality case obsidian
This converter is perfect fit for my Samsung EVO in a Dell tower.
Perfect fit in my Silverstone PC case and Samsung 850, and very easy to install
I purchased this for a Samsung 840 pro drive and it was a perfect fit
This was real easy to install, and the price was very reasonable
Most SATA cables can be had for $2-$3 each or so, unless you have a pressing need for space, in which case you can expect the ridiculous price of these cables.
It's a very simple yet high quality product with a cheap price; what more could you ask for
(I stick with Silverstone Tek cables since of the hundreds I've used none have been DOA or went bad on me and the pricing isn't terrible)It does appear that they are able to bend quite a bit and it does not appear to impact their performance.
That's about as simple as it gets, and it came at a good price
The power and data cables can be stiff, and hard to get into tight places.
The angle is great so that the cable doesn't develop a bend against the inside of the computer case, and makes it easier to tie to other cables for good cable management.
I originally purchased these cables to make sure I could reach my two 2.5" drives in my chassis, and found the cable to be excessively lengthy to route.
If you have any slack in your cable (and you should because very tight cables means stress, strain and potential damage) the split cables bulge and twist up on each other at times
I bought two of these cables and one of them was a bad cable
Work as they're supposed to and the drives are back for good! There's no difference between SATA 3Gb/s and 6Gb/s cables, but there's a HUGE difference in quality and these work.
I would recommend this tray to anyone who wants to mount an SSD to their desktop or has extra 2.5" (laptop-size) hard drives lying around.
Not much more to say than that it works as it is supposed to
I've had a 2nd drive on this cable for about 5-6 months now, works just as good as when I got it
The cable works as it should and is great for an itx build at only 300mm long.
I like the braided cover, the 90 degree head is a bit larger than the heads on my other SATA cables, so if you are worried about clearance distances this cable may not be for you
It was a tiny bit awkward to mount my 2.5 inch hard drive and solid state disk but once its in, its in
There was more vertical space available on the bracket, and it seems that the bottom drive could have been raised a bit more to improve airflow
I was a bit skeptical at first because this pc uses the screws on the flat bottom of the HDD to mount.
Spaces hold the drives perfectly, working with the mounting screws was a bit tricky since space is a little tight.

But the 2nd hard disk is hardly used now, and thus, is much cooler, thanks to the SSD.

It's the same size as a normal hard disk, you can fit two SSD in it
