SIMPSON Cleaning MSH3125 MegaShot Gas Pressure Washer Powered by Honda GC190, 3200 PSI at 2.5 GPM

    • Total pump failure after two hours
    • If your going to store it for extended periods then use a pump saver product before storing and always but gas preservative in your gas.
    • My biggest concern is the pump
    • The second time I used it, the pump died
    • The pump stopped working and we had to find a place locally to make repairs to it.
    • I would not recommend this pump
    • So don't start the motor till you're ready to start washing, and if you stop squirting water for more than a minute - squirt some water into the air, or shut down the engine to prevent overheating the pump
    • The assembly is minimal, the construction is solid yet light weight, and the pump and motor both run well.
    • Worked good when the pump was working
    • It is a great looking power washer but don't trust the pump.
    • Good motor horrible pump
    • No pretty plastic shrouding like the home center models, no NASCAR sponsoring brand name, just a genuine Honda engine powering a solid pump.
    • The pump failed.
    • Unfortunately after a few uses the pump blew apart, and I’m starting the warranty service process with a local service center
    • Like some other reviewers have noted, the pump will fail and their idea of a warranty is for me to drive it 3 hours away and see if a company can "check it out."
    • Running it dry will quickly overheat the pump causing it to seize
    • A pump should not fail the second time it is used.
    • I ordered one a few weeks ago for y son, he used it twice, went to crank it the 3rd time and it blew the hose off the pump, stripping the threads and ruining the pump
    • After EIGHT months (yes, not weeks!) of failed attempts to repair the unit – with wrong replacement pumps and incorrect replacement carburetors sent between Simpson and their dealer – finally, on October 22 Simpson/FNA’s National Service Manager Donald Hattan and Assistant Service Manager Zac Dawson told me that the warranty has expired and that they wouldn’t fix the unit
    • Good motor horrible pump
    • So now have I have to drive 30 minutes each way and lay the pump up again
    • On this model, the pump is much simplified and it couples directly to the driveshaft of the motor and bolts right onto the motor - much better design.
    • I susect prople who have trashed the pump, when new, may not have had the water supply connected and on
    • I am shopping for a new Power Washer as my Simpson pump blew apart exactly as the one mentioned
    • Great engine, powerful pump, quality parts throughout
    • (Do not recommend shutting off the water as this can damage the pump)
    • the pump is easy to get to when you need to connect/disconnect hoses since it's in the open at the back instead of underneath the unit like many others
    • I had one similar to this, with a Honda engine, but a much bulkier, more complicated pump.
    • , otherwise you can burn the pump out
    • I do like the motor, and am glad replacement pumps are reasonable.
    • The pump has worked flawlessly so far but its only been a weekend of heavy use
    • A Pump Saver product (any brand) should also be used if the unit is going to sit idle for more than 30 days
    • The pump doesn't work
    • Leaked oil on initial start up, repair shop said pump bearing was bad
    • To start it: Add Oil, and fuel (with stablilizer), and connect the water supply (garden hose) - the pump is water cooled so purge the system and blow out the air so the pump has its water cooling
    • The one thing I wasn't sure of from other reviews and the pictures I could find was how easy it would be to replace the pump when it fails.
    • The pump will indeed get hot; heed the directions about keeping water flowing through it
    • I’m not spending $200 for a another crappy oem pump, so its basically trash.
    • THE PUMP IS GARBAGE THOUGH.
    • so I know it's just a cheap pump
    • I'd also noticed from past experience with vertical-shaft washers, their pumps were tough to access, (under the motor).
    • It's a Honda GC190 engine attached to decent pump
    • Used it one time and went to use it again and it has no pressure acts like the pump is not working
    • Bad Pump.
    • The pump also leaks water, and the nozzle/gun holder plate arrived bent
    • The pump stopped working right in the middle of our first use.
    • and I started it up and the pump was leaking
    • First one I bought did a good job pump went out after couple years replaced it didn't last but few months bought a new another power washer used it 1 time worked great went to use it a second time started smoking and blowing oil out the
