Like a previous review stated, unit can't transmit over partial FM signal and current radio gets over ridden by overhead power lines.
-
The FM transmitter is not as powerful as my previous unit, but the previous units violated FCC regulations and only tuned 5 frequencies.
-
I recommend this unit for a first time satellite user or as a replacement radio as it is for me.
-
However, the FM transmitter on the unit is not as good as previous units I've had as it only goes down to 88.1.
-
The Stratus is a decent unit if you want satellite radio but don't want to spend money on an expensive receiver

Those are relatively minor criticisms (unless you don't have a direct line into your radio and have to rely on the FM tuner) for an otherwise decent unit.
-
OR buy the cheapest unit you can, expect it to break and be sure to pay for it with a monthly contract
-
All in all, a simple, cheap unit for those who don't need the extra junk, (that you don't need!; Howard, traffic & weather and a few fave music stations), and is small enough to not block your view while driving and easy to take out and use in the house, a rental car, etc
