The price is excellent for the peace of mind this product provides.
This unit/product dangerously failed after plugging in a/c adapter ( recommended model) by blowing up the batteries inside the motion detector side of the unit
This sensor is working great for me and the price was right.
While it's reasonably priced, I am not interested in a product I have to replace 3x/year.
Love love this motion sensor especially because it works and is a reasonable price

This system works as described and we use in her bedroom and living room
Just ordered the AC adapter for the Sensor portion so that I'm not using batteries on that portion of the device, batteries still working for past 2 weeks on the Pager
However, it gets the job done, I muffle the sound with a down lap blanket, batteries are lasting well, easy to set up.
You can't know whether it's working and the batteries are good, except by walking in front of the sensor to test it
I wanted to leave a review because all the other reviews here were very helpful for me when I was lost as to how to handle a difficult situation
To help others who may be in similar situations I'll list some of the Pros and Cons I've noticed so farPros- Everything you need to start using it comes in the package, including batteries- Great battery life (i.e. haven't missed not buying the power adapter so far)
I very very highly recommend the Smart Caregiver Motion Sensor.
Since we have gotten the smart caregiver monitor we all can now rest in another room with confidence!
But after buying 3 other motion detectors, from local hardware stores and another from Amazon which I have returned, I bought another from smart caregiver because it's reliable.
The Smart Caregiver has been a lifesaver; I highly recommend it!

Funny thing is she cannot hear the alarm and wondered why I was up...
Best thing to have with a wandering elderly dimentia patient.
This is a great thing to have when you have a parent that you need to know when they get out of the bed.
The alarm is pretty loud (a good thing), so it would be nice if it was there was a way to adjust the volume (we just put it behind a pillow).
The best thing about this is that I can put the alarm where I need to, and yet I have the pager with me (in a different room) at all times and can turn it on or off as needed.
The "chime" sounds similar to a doorbell and the "alarm" sounds like a car alarm going off
Works exactly as it should and does not alarm in the room so does not scare father in law who has Alzheimers.

I am able to go to sleep with confidence that the sensor will work as it should and alert me instantly.

The one question I had when purchasing was whether the chimes/alarm would be loud enough
The music is annoying as heck, but it gets tour attention.

And the ones that did always sounded the alarm too late, then scared the heck out of her because the alarm would be right in the room with her and sound so loud you could hear it a little too clearly with it being downstairs and us being upstairs

To keep her from wandering the house at night, for the past two years she has slept with bed rails and has a wireless call button to alert us if she needs to get up to use the the bathroom.
Had previously tried bed rails with attached cow bells, but she still managed to get out of bed-even with headboard and foot-boards attached

She is a fall risk and gets up in the middle of the night and wanders around
My mom is a fall risk, and this alerts me every time she's about to get out of her
My Mom has Parkinson's disease and is a fall risk and I can't keep my eye on her every minute of the day but this little gadget does a great job of that
I am able to go to sleep with confidence that the sensor will work as it should and alert me instantly.
Dad has dementia, and has become a fall risk when getting up every night without fail to use the bathroom
The electronic tones are annoying, but annoying helps when getting wakened from a deep sleep
I can't tell if there is a way to change the volume, but I'm grateful the tone is VERY LOUD
Now that I think about it, so many people in their 60's and 70's are taking care of their parents, so maybe that loud tone isn't such a bad idea.
Warning tone is about the right volume level and the whole thing seems easy to set up to monitor my dad.
