My best advice would be for them to review the various renovated kitchens on websites like Houzz to see that colors like taupe, gray, white (maybe even black?) would be more suitable for today's modern kitchens.

I choose the green and brown colors and they very nice colors, not dingy or dull.

I love the different colors on each side - helps to keep my cutting sides apart (greens/meats)

Works great and pretty color!

Also like that you can use it both sides and love the olive/brown colors
