plugged my phone in and it worked...seemed like fast charging to me...also charged up solar battery in a couple of hours with the cable that came with it...and phone will charge while battery charges...then I plugged my other small power pack and both charged up just fine

These charge by solar perfectly, and now assuming I have to go without power for a few days this fall, I won't have a problem

Solar charging is very slow

My only concern is the solar charging as the warning for temperature greater than 50 degrees indicating danger of exploding if it gets too hot.

In other words, every 12 hours the Goertek chargers drain noticeably by themselves (if not charging), so "use it or lose it

To charge these Goertek chargers to full (and your devices through them) you need to charge them up via an electric outlet (ie use them as power banks) before you leave home, then not wait too long before you charge your devices from them because the Goertek batteries themselves lose charge fast
