Both cups seem to provide a good cup of coffee thru the KEURIG K-2 machine however the SOLOFILL K-3 cup did not allow any grounds as the ECOBREW did, the fines were about the same, but the flavor that came through the SOLOFILL cup brew was better, a positive point!I'm not sure what Amazon or SOLOBREW is going to do to try to change this issue, but something has to change
This is perfect for people like me who want freshly ground flavor but just one cup in the morning is plenty (actually, it's great for more than that too because you can grind as much as you want at the grind setting you like).
Yes, the grind consistency is not uniform, but, I don't care about the technicality - the flavor is much better than the consistent blade grinder
Please don't buy this grinder if you like the flavor of
Really loved how this grinder worked and the improved coffee flavor.
The coffee grounds stick in the chute and if you don't tap the sides to get those to fall into the cup, they will fall down when you bump or have to move the grinder later and it will be a pretty good sized mess.4
I can't use the Carafe sized cups, nor the Keurig brand refillable for the 2.0.It's now pretty much sitting on the shelf unused, until they make an insert to support larger sizes of containers -- like for the carafe.
You HAVE to tap the sides of the grinder before removing the reusable k-cup or there will be a time when you do have a pretty good sized mess
Its small size is convenient on my countertop, so I'm keeping i.
It does not spill grind, and it fills the pod perfectly with your preferred size granules
Much, much less expensive + better tasting, fresher coffee + essentially zero waste
If you are using a good bean the coffee taste wonderful and a pound of beans from Starbucks is lasting me at least 4 times as long (so far, its not gone yet) as the box of K-Cups they sell and the beans are only 2$ more
Easy to use, grinds exactly one cup’s worth of beans at a time, and fresher coffee tastes great!
I changed the grinder between A to B with better taste but the problem to close the filter remains
Hoping this will also get me a better tasting cup of coffee out of my keurig.
If you DON'T do this, you can count on that stuff dropping out randomly, likely when you don't have a pod in it to catch the grounds, and it's a waste as well as a mess when it does.
1. does not grind for coffee -- makes coffee bean pieces all over my counter.2.
This machine just does not grind coffee fine enough for k-cups and overflows all the time
Just have to remember to clean it out - the coffee does get caught up in the machine alot
This machine just does not grind coffee fine enough for k-cups and overflows all the time
You also have to use ground coffee which never is as fresh as grinding each cup
For a solofill to work good, coffee has to be ground to a fine, espresso grind
I also use this when making espresso; I set the grind to A and timer to 3, fill the V1 basket and then dump the grinds from the V1 basket into the espresso filter basket; that's also pretty much hassle free
Because of its violent, not so fine grind, it vibrates and moves all over the counter
It does produce the perfect grind for a good cup of coffee.
The machine, not heavy enough nor the rubber feet have enough friction, rattles and spins around while grinding.- With French Roast, rich and oily, the small square channel between the grinder and container gets frequently
When I grind dark-roast Peet's beans, I have to clean out the ground coffee shoot regularly because the extra surface oils on dark roasts stick together and clog the chute
Also - if fresh (roasted 1-3 weeks...no longer
While this works, it sure would be nice if the machine worked as it's supposed to.
Also learned the hard way to pop a fresh cup into the grinder right away
Best way to get around the overfill issue is to fill the cup up with whole beans and only grind that amount, because the "timing" function grinds too long
It seems that would be either way too much coffee for four cups or not enough for ten cups
It didn't quite work out the way I wanted, but in the end, it actually did work out
The grind is way to course even on the finest setting and it overfills the coffee maker cup that came with the machine even on setting 1
If it grinds for 11 seconds for one cup then it should grind 44 seconds for four cups and 110 seconds for ten cups using the one cup setting as a guide - which can't be right
I have a Keurig K-Supreme Plus C and the My K-Cup Universal Reusable
Working the other way - if it grinds 20 seconds for ten
then it should grind 8 seconds for four cups and only 2 seconds for one cup - which seems more logical and would eliminate the K3 adapter from being overfilled but they didn't program it that way.

Tends to fill solofil cup a bit too much, but I just keep a pretty bowl nearby to tap it down and dump a bit of excess grounds into
I find that anything under a "B" grind (more fine) tends to have too much residue in the coffee and anything greater than "C" (more coarse) doesn't have as much flavor

There is always a little bit of grindings on the counter, but no problem to wipe up
We have been using our 10+ year old Braun grinder, which still works fine, but it is a bit messy, and transferring the coffee to the K-cups is also a bit messy.
