(One of them has the Xbox360 version) and they all loved it
Sonic Riders was mediocre, Sonic Genesis was a horrible remake of Sonic 1, but that can at least be ignored in favor of the original and other portable versions.
I know that the 3D Sonic games tend to have a polarizing reputation, but in all honesty, I liked most of his 3D outings, with the only two exceptions being the SD version of Unleashed, which wasn't bad by any means, but I preferred the HD version (which I am going to discuss later on), and THIS!
The music however tends to be pretty awesome, but that's the ONLY positive I really have for this game
Honestly, I enjoyed the original Sega Genesis version to this one, HANDS DOWN.Save your money for Rainbow 6, or Battlefield Bad Company

I really do like using homing attack in mid air going from enenmy to spring to heading up a path that leads to a 1up, then light speed dasing into a line of rings
I really enjoyed the storyline and the next-gen graphics in this game, but the super-speed stages were ridiculously hard to navigate, and the plentiful glitches reminded me of the Japanese version of Sonic Adventure
Well, I was horribly shocked to find that this has the great graphics and speed of sonic when it is not loading, and the controls are awful to use here
There are these levels with Sonic were you run in a super speed

If you can stand the CONSTANT loading, then maybe you could tolerate the glitchy graphics, and average (AT BEST) storyline and gameplay

Sega has been doing okay with their recent games (except shadow the hedgehog) but this game is just a disapointment, running around the city is bland and poorly made, the levels on the other hand look pretty good, the problem is this game is probably buggier than the original Sonic Adventure(though I did love that game)and you move slower (BIG problem in a Sonic game), and Shadow and Silver both are basically just thrown in, Shadow runs really weird and Silvers powers don't really function great, which ends up being annoying
The initial levels are boring and dull and do not suck you into the game at all
(provided you do not cheat), which I like+The add-on hard levels and the End Of the World levels are very very good and difficult, a very enjoyable
This game could have been good with better level designs and controls, but nope, back during the 15th anniversary, we were just not allowed to have good things as Sonic fans.
This Sonic game doesn't know if it wants to be a role-playing game or a 3D action game, but both are unbearable: "missions" to wander around and figure out who to talk to (there's a "puzzle" that has no pattern, for example--you just talk to everybody until one of them coughs up an answer...but he lies to you the first time to make you go around again), and worst of all, levels where you tear along at a high rate of speed, and then plant face-first into death.
The game is full of bosses including the great Sonic VS Silver battle
Half the time you don't even control sonic and he will fall off the track.
Jason Griffith does a great job portraying Sonic and Shadow
Sonic looks extra good in the game but they could have worked some more on Shadows graphics
It is not the best sonic game ever (Sonic Unleashed takes that title), but it is nowhere near as bad as Sonic Genesis GBA ( that is one of the worst games of all time) , and while it is unfinished, it is still an amazing game
It's pretty bad, one of the leading causes of sonics downfall.
Don't listen to people who hate as they are older fans where as the game is geared to new players of Sonic
Don't listen to people who hate as they are older fans where as the game is geared to new players of Sonic.
Sonic is hard to work with in the parts where he runs forward really fast cause sometimes when you tried to turn a little it would do a complete turn and run off the edge
i honestly don't hate this game cause i actually do play it at times like probably 2 times in a month after i beat the game completly
Don't listen to people who hate as they are older fans where as the game is geared to new players of Sonic.
For Sonic's story, you try to get to the end of the level as fast as you can while collecting rings and jumping on robots' heads
I'll go on trying because I know it ispossible to get past that level, I must just work out a way to get past it because there may be several ways to get past it
Don't listen to people who hate as they are older fans where as the game is geared to new players of Sonic
I don't want to be mind numbingly easy, but the way it was done was just bad
If you go into this game expecting it to be good, you're going to have a bad time
can die from hitting a wall fast enough well thats a LOAD OF BULL.Only in 3 or 4 levels that CAN happen if you let it now to start this game is NOT FULL OF BUGS OR GLITCHES the loading time are not long
It came in great time, and was in phenomenal condition.
Not a good game, horrible load times, annoying characters, bad glitches, stupid story, but if you are a big sonic fan check it
Ah, well-at least they didn't waste the whole time biting off their previous games
So, I read all the bad reviews, and hesitantly bought the game
but like the reviews said the controlls are a bit frustrating and its never clear what to do next but its a playable game if you can put up with a game that has many defects.
First of all let me start out by saying that long time Sonic fans gave poor reviews for this game only because this game does not represent the typical Sonic crash boom bang which fans like
The music however tends to be pretty awesome, but that's the ONLY positive I really have for this game
This game has its flaws, however, people who write bad reviews about this are just jumping on the hate bandwagon
In previous sonic games the mechanics are get hit - loose rings - grab one of your rings back - move on
The music however tends to be pretty awesome, but that's the ONLY positive I really have for this game
Silver is far from a melee up close fighter, you need to keep your distance or you'll lose all your rings and die.
Like a boss battle with Silver, he can throw you up in the air, make you lose all your rings and then catch you as you fall because Sonic and everyone controls horrible in the air so you have no time to react

There are many problems wrong with the Sonic game and i could probably go on.
The only major problem is that the controls dont work IMMEDIATELY
I know a lot of people hate and hate and hate on this game because of the load time, the inconvenient camera, and tons and tons of other aggravating problems
The title music is freakin awesome though:p

The worst thing is that if you lose all lives, you have to start over
The controls could have been more fine tuned, there are times where you can lose lives unecessarily because you fell from a railing that Sonic is sliding
They are extremely far apart, and it is possible to play an hour without a chance to save only to loose all your lives due to a problem mentioned above and have to replay all that lost time
Sonic the Hedgehog starts whith a much more difficult stage that, even though i had played other sonic games quite extensively, killed off all my lives and sent me back several cut scenes and long load times to 0% completed
The music however tends to be pretty awesome, but that's the ONLY positive I really have for this game
So you will probably die a lot while learning from trial and error, DURING THE FIRST STAGE
However even with all the bugs and glitches its still a very good game (to me anyway a lot of people still hate it because of the issues).
Dying a lot and waiting more than you expect after dying is not a good combination
I know a lot of people hate and hate and hate on this game because of the load time, the inconvenient camera, and tons and tons of other aggravating problems
A lot of people can praise a game for graphics, but I'm tired of only hearing about them
Well, I was horribly shocked to find that this has the great graphics and speed of sonic when it is not loading, and the controls are awful to use here
The controls are very hard to master and keep a handle on Sonic.
Like a boss battle with Silver, he can throw you up in the air, make you lose all your rings and then catch you as you fall because Sonic and everyone controls horrible in the air so you have no time to react
Despite being able to roam around freely and it is not on-rails, the controls were mind-blowingly awful.
Sonic '06 can be a hard game at first, but when you master the controls and camera, it can be very fun
The graphics and story of this game are very nice but the controlls are just so very sketchy and the checkpoints are just to far and few bewtween, and that left them playing the same levels over and over until they got to frustrated
but like the reviews said the controlls are a bit frustrating and its never clear what to do next but its a playable game if you can put up with a game that has many defects.
ok game, not really interesting b/c of the weird camera angle and extremely long, unnecessary load screens, not worth the buy
I had taken over playing the game to get them to the next levels and as an old-school long time gamer I even had trouble here and there, especially with the shaky, sketchy controlls to where i got bored myself
