There's the best of the Sonic games, the Golden Axe games, Streets of Rage 1, 2 and 3, two versions of Altered Beast, the arcade Zaxxon, and so many others.
I also love the multiplayer games like Golden Axe, Streets of Rage, etc.
Same games you played as a kid but improved graphics and all on one disc
This is a great deal, but these games seem to be much more fun as a kid
You also have Alex Kid and Kid Chameleon if you like classic platforming, not to metion a few games that are really stand out in the Genesis library, like both Ecco the Dolphin games and Comix Zone
Sure we get those tried and true classic games seen before on other Sega compilations, such as the Sonic series, the Golden Axe trilogy, the Shinobi, Ecco, and Vectorman games, Altered Beast, Columns, Kid Chameleon, and other old favorites besides; but there are a few new additions here that will definitely hold your interest.
I'm not completely sure if 3rd party controllers are available with better D-pads, so I guess it's worth looking into
Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection for the Xbox 360, is a great buy for nostalgic gamers that definitely want to relive the classic days Sega is still widely recognized for after all these years

The Streets of Rage & Golden Axe games have 2 player co-op and are simple enough for most people to play
Adding in Streets of Rage and the Golden Axe games is just more icing on the cake.

Yes the title is correct, you get over 30 classic sega titles.
The only real disappointment is the first two Shinobi games are not included (only Shinobi III) and the classic titles that were cross-platform with the SNES are also not here
I just wish it had came with more of those classic titles.
It is great if you don't already own the classic Genesis titles
There are plenty of other retro game compilations available, including both classic arcade titles and games from the Genesis era, but the majority of them are full of filler with a few choice games thrown in to justify the price
that made sega look bad some of these on here..they should have just put a few of better ones and forgotten the rest for the more xrated lousier compilation version or something..

Some have deducted points for the poor collection of games, but if you look at each of the titles, you'll notice that they were all produced by Sega.
To call this "Sonic's" ultimate collection is misleading

The games are just like I remember, the controls a bit different, but great nonetheless.
Those of us who grew up with these titles and now have children of our own will like the fact that many of these titles as well as their control setups are child-friendly.
The Audio sounds awesome in HD.Also, you can assign the controls of any of the games to whatever button scheme fits your style best

This is an improvement over the previous Genesis collection for the 360 as they added new games such as Fatal Labyrinth and a few other Sonic games.
Fatal Labyrinth well...sucks, the Ecco games are familiar but playing through them, they're surprisingly boring and Super Thunder Blade is too easy to die in
And there's a few games that were never that great, like Fatal Labyrinth or Super Thunder Blade, but they really don't hurt this impressive collection
