I was going to put a play 5 in my living room and a play 1 in the master bedroom but after setting up a pair of play 1 speakers in the living room and enjoying them for a couple of days now I will not be buying a 5.I plan to purchase a couple of play 1 speakers to put in other rooms
-
Like them so much, I ordered another pair for the Home Office.
-
I now have a pair of them in 5 rooms and they all work flawlessly and sound great.
-
I mostly use the Play 1 individually which sounds acceptable but they definitely sound better when set up as a stereo pair (easy to do on the fly and then revert if needed).
-
I love the looks and the sound was almost as good as the Sonos 1 pair
-
Configuration is insanely easy, was super easy to add the surrounds to the room setup, and they are easy to remove and group as a floating pair
-
Awesome pair of speakers.
-
Sounds great as a left right stereo pair and as a 5.1 combo for surround sound for my TV.
-
I do prefer the sound when they are working as a pair in the room we use most
-
Definitely worth the price and sounds great when paired together.
-
Play 1s are absolutely fantastic as a stereo pair

I can't ever really imagine needing to turn these up more than maybe 50% absolute max, even if you're throwing a really loud, crowded party
