you like having errors that say your system cannot be found, then I would not recommend this product.
(I wonder if I received a defective product as there was static from my speaker that was detectable close up) and overall value
Although the speakers are okay, nothing particularly special, the software that runs the SONOS system (and you have to use theirs) is so bad as to make the product a very poor experience
great product, easy to use, easy to set-up, great sound, compact enough to fit anywhere.
Many people have posted about the bad product description and consuming, unclear, instructions, and I agree.
Sonos is one of if not the best wireless speaker systems out there
As for design; I can't afford the headache or price tag of having a full speaker system installed into my ceilings and having bulky free-standing speakers is not an option
While the software is separate from the speaker itself, without the software, the speakers are useless.
Basically, Sonos made this speaker to be less-useful than all other speakers before it
Great speakers, very good sound quality even though there is no true bass speaker on it.
I downloaded the free Sonos Android app, and now I can control the music selection and volume from anywhere.
If Sonos does not support the app you want to use, you are out of luck.
every so often the app will fail to find the system on the network
I've heard other people say you can't play YouTube videos or Netflix or anything like that because everything has to be shoehorned through their clumsy app
The app works great to connect up with my favorite online music providers
This product does have great sound quality, it's extremely loud and pretty clear, deep bass is kind of lacking.
But, the Play 1 is good for a small area and has a better bass response than the Play 3
A few pros and cons starting with the Pros:-This speaker has very rich sound and very good bass
As expected for a unit of this size the bass was a little lacking and faded out the further you got from the unit but the rest of the range was bright and clear
When turned up this speaker can really make some noise and put out crisp loud bass
We can both control the speaker to work with a variety of phone apps such as Audible and Spotify as well as with our Alexa Echo.
The lack of Airplay/bluetooth/etc is a huge technical miss here as the app can't compete with native apps - for example the iOS podcast play is way better and the Amazon Music apps has a better search.
I'm very critical when it comes to music and sound, so it's been difficult for me to embrace 'smaller' because everything I've heard for years has lacked fullness (unless you just like to tweak with frequencies...
In particular to this speaker, its good on space - but you will miss (probably) the lack of two speakers distributed, that produce a more stereo effect
This includes the bass and treble, balance, as well as 'Loudness'Cons:-Colors: I'm into aesthetics and I think the white one is just horribly ugly
This fills my living room with amazing sound and doesn't bother the neighbors
The Sonos sounds good in our small apartment and easily fills the space with sound - I don't turn it up more than half way for fear of disturbing our neighbors
