I had been shopping around for a region-free bluray/dvd player and I’d like to provide you the information I have gathered to help you with your decision

I have not really tested out a great many DVD's yet; but that ones I have played, looked good, did not skip; it did what it was supposed to do

The best DVD player I've ever had and its Sony, an amazing brand.

Very easy hookup, highly recommended, Sony hit a home run on this machine; this will be your favorite player for sure.

I wish Sony provides some capability to make You TUBE search in different language (like Chinese, Thai, ...)

My old nearly $300 Sony still works and apparently the old remote works with this player as well.

It also has all the other polite features I am aware of, a very good player, I would recommend to anyone.

I only own DVDs, but the features I wanted were easier to find on a Blu-Ray player: Region free, Remote control, 'HDMI out'

It's tiny, but the quality of picture is great as well as is the music (I'm using it with a projector and watching a lot of music DVDs)

When I use my old, regular DVD player for those classic DVDs ( with 4:3 picture ), the "normal" option is available and everything is fine

Since the HDMI connection is the only one provided on the S6700, the problem with playing classic DVDs on it remains unresolved

I have been using it since March 4th, 2018, so far, it plays well French (regular and Blue Ray) and British DVDs

If you enjoy super quality sound and picture and you are not bothered to much about the online applications such as YouTube, Netflix and up to 300 other online applications and live outside of the USA, be careful as though this item states that it is region free, this may be the case as far as playing DVDs and Blu-rays are concerned however according to the suppliers this does not cover the downloadable applications

Even better it loads and plays blu-ray faster than my old player and does seem to have a crisper picture.
