Very sleek player with great build quality and compliments my other Sony Home Theater products very well
We expected better quality from SONY as it was not built into this item
First tried a Samsung which I didn't like as you had to re-enter your network key/password every time you used it to stream video, so when it broke after just a couple of weeks we replaced it with this Sony and have been very satisfied so far.
Returned it for a $160 dollar Samsung that works like a charm but does not have no where near the excellent picture quality of the Sony
So far, very fast, and very good picture quality sent to television.
An awful piece of junk, deserving of zero starsAvoid this like the plague

I would definitely not buy this piece of JUNK again or recommend it!!
We realize now that this was not the right piece of equipment but at the time buying a blu-ray player and something that would stream seemed like a good idea
but now it's like a piece of junk sitting there that I CAN'T TURN OFF
Great Blu-ray player: Much faster uploading and processing of disks than the 2010 Samsung player it replaced
This is the third one of the sony Blu-ray players that have failed the same way
I was looking for an inexpensive blu-ray player to use on vacation.
Its a nice blue ray player, the loading time is spectacular, the picture quality is as good as more expensive "Fancy blue ray players.

Picture is clear, and I love having Netflix, Amazon Prime and Pandora available through my surround sound at the touch of a button.
but then none of the 'apps' (? netflix, pandora, amazon instant) would work
Initially all was great, getting online was easy and Netflix & Amazon Prime setup & watching was reasonably easy - watching dvd's (standard & Bluray) was great
My grandkids love streaming netflix or youtube via this device
Unfortunately, because it freezes so often, the fabulous features are impossible to enjoy
It played the latest Bluray disks and has a very friendly interface that allows quick access to many features including a very fine Miracast feature that mirrors smartphone screens to the TV.
When the player works, it has great features and performance, but it's definitely NOT worth the hassle.

The Sony S6200 is the only unit with the specs and features available in this price range
i read a few bad reviews about this player becoming unresponsive routinely, but i disregarded the posts thinking that was a stand-alone issue with maybe one or two particular pieces.. maybe a manufacturing mistake
A lot of people have this problem read the reviews I wish I did.
There must be a problem with some of Sony's players as there are quite a number of good reviews for this player but a significant number of bad reviews most of which say the same thing about the locking up and stalling while using network functions.
While the freezing up issue is well documented in other reviews, I am totally perplexed there are so many good reviews of this compromised unit.

Product works as it was advertised.
I didn't like the way this Blu-ray player made my purchased DVD's turn light and then dark as I watched the movies.
I would recommend this player, but I would also recommend checking it out thoroughly after receiving it to make sure everything works as it should especially the network functions.
And it crashes way too often with the only recourse being to unplug it and plug it back in
I tried everything, hard resets, restoring, and I even tried unplugging my router
Tech support never called back and finally we got an email that told us to "reset" (the battle cry of the tech support guy), so that was useless (no hard reset
TL;DR problems since day 1, wouldn't connect to internet, now freezes/rebuffers on netflix and pandora, sometimes requiring a hard reset.
Every day I have to unplug and re-plug the poiwer cord in order to 'hard reset' the device

After about 3 months, they start blinking off and on and you have to kill the power to re set the thing
It is very small, installed with no drama (other than a somewhat bulky power box that would not fit my surge protector), plays DVD and Blu-ray and connects to my Wi-Fi without a lot of help from me
I wish I had known that before buying because we are now stuck with this terrible, defective machine which has forced us to run an ugly, bulky power strip up the side of our furniture so we can pull the power and reset the machine without constant backpain.
