The unit runs on AAA batteries and that is a great feature because one can get stranded in a location abroad where a specific battery might not be available
I'm not wanting to go to a web site to look up a setting or see how to work a feature
I would give it 5 star if this feature is available on the device.
The most important feature is that all recordings can be transferred to the computer!!!
The ability to 'mark' reference points during playback is the most useful feature.
I like the device, but it has its own limitations described in feedback to the seller below
It is a wonderful little device that does everything I need it to
I also do a lot of transcribing what is said and need a reliable device to do it.
There are other similar devices out there costing much more or much less, but I like this one because its interface is dead simple, and super easy to attach to a PC for uploading the audio.

This is really a quality product, my wife uses that for lectures and seminars - the fact that it has a built in attached USB makes it super easy for her to hook it up to the laptop and transfer the files

The sound quality is pretty good, but for the money it's excellent
so I dont know the difference between good quality or bad quality but this thing definitely picks up everything.
This is a great device, sound quality is good and is sensitive
So as long as you don’t drop it or splash water on it or leave it in a vehicle on a hot day or take it into a steam room you should be fine... the audio quality is what you’d expect, good not great
Using so many attachments (I feel) degrades the quality of the recording
With that external mic (could be the mic's fault) it records ONLY background noise
It has lots of storage and picks up voices well, even with background noise
The quality is nearly studio quality, after running the sound files through a sound editing software to remove background noise
I’m impressed with the recording quality during interviews even with background noise and wind
