I love the dependable (and good) radio tuning, the just-right audible alarm volume (the last alarm I had was ridiculously loud and annoying), and being able to set two alarm times and modes.

I found that the bird sounds were quite pleasant to wake up to, though I still prefer the radio- you can not set the alarm to play from the audio-in jackSo, overall it is a great alarm

UPDATE: it's now September 2016 and the radio works as well as it did on the first day I had it.

A modern looking clock-radio that is awkward to use as an alarm clock

This is a very good radio for AM and FM, but the display is too bright for bedside use, the controls are small and difficult, and the nature sounds terrible, due to poor sound quality, short tracks, and birds sounds on the ocean audio.

Certainly, it can be said that some functional aspects of the unit have been sacrificed for the aesthetics of the unit (i.e. many of the buttons are small, untextured, and roughly the same size), however, I find those complaints to be minor misgivings for an otherwise superbly designed clock radio.
