Sony ICF-C707 Clock Radio with AM/FM Dual Alarm and Large Easy to Read Backlit LCD Display

    • The low setting is easy on the eyes at night but difficult to see the time during the day.
    • Neither work, though the screen indicates proper setting
    • (And the darkened setting defeats the purpose of having a clock.)I will unfortunately be returning this clock.
    • I prefer to leave Alarm A as my setting for work and use B for other days/times when I need a different setting.
    • Even the lowest light setting is too bright.
    • bright setting to see around room
    • The bright setting is way too bright for sleeping and the dim is way too dim to see.
    • The brightest setting lit up my
    • So the "high" setting is equivalent to having a full moon in your room at night, and even the "low" setting was quite bright after my eyes adjusted to darkness.
    • The middle (low) setting is too bright to sleep with, so I'm forced to turn the backlight off at night.
    • It looks nice and subtle in the picture, but at night, it's bright as hell and the pretty hard to see if it's across the room, but readable if it's on the bright setting
    • that's only if it's on the brightest setting.
    • True, you can turn it to low and to off (thank goodness!), but I'd like a lower setting.
    • The bright setting is way too bright to sleep by, and the dim setting is like trying to read beige text on a tan background.
    • The bright setting is like a bright night light in the room.
    • The medium setting is fine for non-night use, and when the display comes on bright in the morning it is just another reminder to me that that nature sound means I do have to get up
    • My goal was an alarm radio with good reception to my favorite stations and easy set alarm for those (dreadful) early wake-ups
    • Many features on this including two alarms, dimmer and off setting for the clock readout, automatic time setting, and a set of sounds to go with the am/fm radio that will either put you to sleep or wake you up
    • The setting I can see at night is very bright.
    • The low setting is easy on the eyes at night but difficult to see the time during the day.
    • You would think these were tested before they were produced, but as I said before, the lights are too bright (like a TV set bright)
    • It could be me, but I have a hard time setting and resetting this clock
    • Does come with a good set of instructions and you must follow them exactly
    • It's like those highly directional TV sets and LED computer monitors.
    • I will say that the set up was very intuitive and the temperature reading was nice.
    • The other light setting is not as bright but still impossible to read
    • The Good: the backup battery (which comes with the unit) to store your settings during a blackout; the 5 radio channel presets for both AM and FM; sound quality (good for the size); temperature gauge; ok reception; stable time setting
    • Yes the brightest setting is too bright, but this is about what I expected when I purchased this clock radio.
    • It will compliment the thousands of dollars you spent on your bedroom set and fit right in
