The alarm is also much nicer than my previous clock; the old one would practically scare me awake, with the speaker emitting a loud POP as it powered up before its obnoxious beeping started.

The alarm is not as abusive on your ears as some of the other clocks that i have had and it gradually gets louder the longer it goes off.

so if you overshoot the quick radio/alarm reset button further towards top front, you can easily but unintentionally disable the alarm or a snooze until 24 hours later, and oversleep

The only thing I would add for this would be the ability the change the light LED colors, and a full battery backup it would switch to in the event of a power outage, but it does its job, and is quite a good alarm clock.

The model with two alarms DOES work the alarm with the backup battery.

Modern alarm clocks often get overly complicated with their features.

Alarm is not very loud and has to go for several minutes before it penetrates a sleeping mind.

The alarm is easy to set and straightforward with either a radio or buzzer tone for wake up.

Display is dimmable and the alarm doesn't sound like an air raid siren but instead starts out at a reasonable volume the steadily increases.

The alarm settings are daily only so it does not have an option for M-F alarm...so you have to remember to shut off the alarm every weekend.
