I bought this clock to replace one with a super bright display, my only needs for this are an aesthetically pleasing clock with a display that doesn't light up the room.

Excellent display, perfect size, and nice use of the power cord as the antenna, but an incredibly obnoxious high-pitched whine (6600 Hz to be exact) emanates from this device (specifically its DC transformer and subsequent capacitors) at all times

It's a decent modern looking alarm clock with an orange LED display.

I wanted an alarm clock that was simple to use but without a bright display

You can't brighten the display.

It doesn't cast a bright light from the unit like some green displays do.

The adjustable display brightness is also a lovely feature, I keep mine at the lowest and I am miraculously not affected by it at night - the pleasant orange glow looks almost like a candle light at night

It looks great and the display is easy to read but it just isn't loud enough for me.

At night, in the dark, the dials are not in the least visible, the audio quality is poor, the receiver is weak and displays function poorly.

Second, the display is very dim even at the highest setting

I have had this for two weeks and there is now a missing segment in the LED display.

Except it just broke after two months and is frozen with the time display a showing random assortment of lit up areas

Nice radio when there is a power outage time is not displayed but the alrm will still work from buzzer the buzzer is very low and wouldn't wake anyone up

I hate getting up and seeing blue/green lights, the orange color is really nice in the dark as well as during the day.

You can dim the numbers, the radio comes in as clear as my old radio, I don't accidentally change the time or the alarm setting, and there's a separate "permanently off" switch for the alarm (for weekends) as well as an "off-for-today" button so that I don't have to remember to turn it back on the next day
