My biggest beef with this thing is that the green display is just too bright.

This is a good all round alarm clock that is compact, easy to use and has a lovely, bright easy to read LED display

This refers to the fact that there's a built-in lithium battery and the clock is set at the factory, so when you plug it in for the first time the correct time displays without needing to be set by the user

The older Sony "dream machine" clock radio had a brighter display and was a good one, so I bought this newer one thinking it would be good also

I love its large display and features, but the clock always ends up gradually getting faster

The display is a bit dim, which I ended up appreciating because it doesn't distract me at night

It's good enough to see the time from anywhere in the room, alarm and radio work as they should, sound quality is good for this price and for this kind of device, although i'd be much more satisfied if the display was just a little bit brighter, other than that - it's a good buy.

Easy to read LED display that is not too bright, very good radio performance (audio is acceptable if not great from the small speaker/case), and the auto-set feature worked quickly right out of the box.

The only problem is that I also agree with those who found the display too dim to be useful in any light at all, and I disagree with those who found the display too bright, which means one thing and one thing only: the Chinese factory that turns these things out is doing a good job at everything but regulating the LED display, and some of the products of that assembly line are very bright, some are too dim to be useful, and some are in between

The display is very bright, even adjusted, something to keep in mind in a bedroom

Nice little radio alarm clock but desperately needs a dimmer - the display is so bright I have to turn it away from me in order to get to sleep, then, if I wake up in the middle of the night, I have reach out and fumble around to turn it toward me to see the time.

Then, one morning, I hit the snooze button twice by mistake and it dimmed the display again.

My son hit the Snooze button one day and it dimmed the display to the point that during the daytime, you cannot see the time unless you're pretty close to it.

It has many great functions and the display is easily readable

Most clocks have this feature, even my old Emerson had it with its bright RED display

The front face is clean and spiffy looking, the shape elegant but simple -- it fit the décor of the crappy motel off the interstate you stopped at, desperate with exhaustion, as well as it did the five-star room you treated yourself to for a weekend getaway

Very confusing as to how to set everything on this clock from the clock itself to the alarm.

Everything worked as it should, although some of the FM stations with weaker signals don't come as clean and strong as I'd like
