Sony ICFC218 Dream Machine Clock Radio (Black)

    • I have no outside lights, so our room is really dark.
    • Love the on and off buttons that work and are easy to locate in a dark room
    • I Like:-The clock has a very subtle look - it easily blends into a darker room, which is the look that I wanted.-Setting the single alarm is very simple with the dedicated switch-type button
    • The only problem is that the display is noticeably too bright in a dark room.
    • I can still see the numbers if the room is almost totally dark but when the TV or any other lights are on the numbers disappear.
    • Not easy to find to turn off when room is dark
    • I find that the display illuminates the room too brightly while I am trying to sleep.
    • In a darkened room the display is easy to read, but in an illuminated room it can be nearly impossible to read at distance
    • Trying to located the buttons when you are half asleep or in a dark room, is sometimes a challenge.
    • It's not a device so bright it will disturb you in a dark room
    • The clarity of the music is wonderful and compared to my old clock radio, the brightness of the digital numbers is just right in a dark room
    • So with some agitation I went back to my old red and black display on bright and it still looked not too bright and the bed sheet was no longer visible; the whole room looked dark
    • Replaced an old Sony, doesn't take up too much room, not too bright, radio has decent sound, easy to operate.
    • Not too bright where its annoying (I like the room dark when I'm sleeping).
    • * Very bright, can be seen easily from far away dark room
    • The display lights up the whole room.. kind of annoying.
