Overall, for the price, they are a good value & I'd recommend.
They have a nice write up in the manual explaining why it won’t cancel noise as you expect but there are brands that offer true noise canceling.
The headphones come with a two-prong attachment to use on older planes which we joked about as we have not seen a plane with those outlets for 15 years.
These headphones represent good value for what they are.
I hope you find these headphones as great a value as I have.
If you can afford it, definitely spend more money for something better
Not worth the money whatsoever and seller won't return, so don't waste your money.
Cancels almost no noise - spend the money and get Bose!
it's not really worth the extra money to spend on the mdr-zx110NC version
it sounds very low, and when you turn it on then its just a normal over the ear headphone that you have to use a battery to use, dont waste your money you are better off with the amazon basic $15 ones
Pros:- Noise cancelling for cheap, works great in an open office- comfortable- good construction, and folds
Similarly, when my office cleaning person was vacuuming, there was a bit of a hollow tin coming through the set, so it was a tossup to disable or keep the NC on.
Listening to a song in a quiet office and turning the noise cancelling on and off produces a NOTICEABLE change in audio quality that has nothing to do with ambient noise reduction

These headphones are perfect for when you're on the 'quiet' floor of the library, and that one person starts eating a bag of carrots... ugh that's the worst!I also like how they fold up, I'm in college, so I just smoosh them into my backpack
Used these for 2 weeks and the wires came loose from plug in and lost the stereo effect and base to my music
Only thing I don't like is the wire that stays connected (does not fully remove like my expensive Sony NC headset that broke).
but since I use them for more than 8 hrs a day I've had to repair them twice because the wires had become broken near the base of each speaker
It's difficult to find a good noise-cancelling wired headphone set online.
