Great sound quality, great features, great noise cancellation
Overall, this is a great set of Bluetooth headset with great sound quality, Active Noise Cancellation that really works, and the flexibility to connect to a wired source when needed
Noise cancellation is surprisingly effective, but care has to be taken to ensure that the eartips are sealed well in the ears, otherwise external noise will enter and the noise cancellation can seem ineffective
But again just noise cancellation and the scale is superb
I purchased these to use on a plane as a compact alternative to over-ear noise cancelling headphones, as well as to listen to music too.
so I avoid headphones where the bass has been given too much boost
I tweaked and adjusted, but in the end, the Sony buds produced better bass, better clarity overall, and more natural noise cancelling.
There is ample bass, not overpowering, and balanced mids and highs
good sound quality*Good bass reproduction--far better than any ear buds I've owned previously*Good battery life at about 20 hours*Nice on-board controls (once you've memorized their locations)*Sufficient
Next, the earbuds, though secure in my ear canal when I push them in, quickly work their way out, especially when I am on the move, such as mowing the yard
I purchased these to use on a plane as a compact alternative to over-ear noise cancelling headphones, as well as to listen to music too.
Sony didn't skimp on anything, these are the most practical headphones I've had that I can remember and the best way I can sum them
I really enjoyed the LG Platinum set for ease of use and sound, just kept having issues with the cords not reeling up all the way
They always work their way loose, especially if I am sweating, and sweating is what often happens when I am wearing headphones
As others have noted, the controls are disappointing.
Battery life is a little short compared to full sized cans but it works well, decent sound and good controls.
The intuitive shape/design of the earbud places it in an ideal position that doesn’t move around and provides optimal sound control by creating a seal that doesn’t allow much noise to bleed in.
You can set up Adaptive Sound Control, which adjusts the ANC to different modes, depending on what you are doing
The neck piece has adjustment buttons to allow phone-free control over power, volume, playback, and noise canceling
Music of all shape and stripe sound excellent (its a Sony product after all) and through the app you have full control of equalization settings as well
Instead, Sony focused on making a nice product and they really succeeded there.
The product is amazing, the only downside is the EarPods in which it could be designed to hold better inside the ear
Funny thing is I opted for this brand/model because the similar product by Bose has a bad reputation since their first version had a firmware bug... that made NC useless, if I remember correctly.
Why am I going to fork out $300 plus for an obsolete product
Great sound quality, great features, great noise cancellation
This latter feature works quite well in shifting the perception of where the sound is coming from, but as a practical matter it seems somewhat gimmicky
Others have already written about the incredible noise cancelling feature - so great
I don't know why a manufacturer producing both MP3 Player and cellphone could miss multi-pairing feature, and I'm looking forward to a firmware update
This latter feature works quite well in shifting the perception of where the sound is coming from, but as a practical matter it seems somewhat gimmicky
The earphones also support corded headphone jack (cable is included and plugs into the USB port of the earphones), which I thought was a nice bonus feature over the Bose for devices that don't support bluetooth.
This is a very well made, nice looking, good sounding Bluetooth headset, and for the price you pay, it should be
I usually have to disable bluetooth on the device that it is already connected to.
Negative:1.mediocre wearing 2.doesn’t support Bluetooth LADC(iOS) (sigh) 3.Price,10% discount could be more competitive.
So for now these are the best you could hope for in a bluetooth noise canceling set of phones

The noise-cancelling is almost as effective as in the Bose 35's I normally use, and the downloadable app (for iOS) adds additional functionality like directionality and accommodating incoming speech

quality).The bad:Bad software
I like the physical product, hate the software, and I think the only comparable product on the market is the one from Bose QC30.

The WH-1000XM2 provides better noise isolation of course, given that they are over-the-ear closed headphones
Studio3 Wireless - Great noise isolation, on-ear over-the-head design, battery life is pretty good, corded backup when bluetooth isn't available (airplane, etc).

I love the Ambient Sound feature, and this was one factor that influenced my decision to purchase these over the Bose offering, or the Shure SE215 (which portend to offer top-shelf noise isolation)

The music sounds amazing in these headphones, it does help block out some background noise, and they are lightweight and don't feel tight on my neck
When I'm listening to the music even at low volumes, none of that background noise is interfering with my experience
These ear buds block all background noise and make the world disappear
However, I tried to make calls with it in the same harsh environment, but to my dismay, I had to shout for the other party to hear my voice
While they aren't my choice for use during physical activity, they are perfect for my frequently noisy work environment, at home when my spouse is watching television, in bed while he's sleeping and for situations where ambient noise levels are disruptive.
In a noisy environment its very difficult for the other party to hear anything
It works quite well in very noisy environments (such as the subway). These headphones also have an app that allows refinements to noise cancelling and adjustments to the directionality of the sound
What I do not like about these headphones is the microphone quality, they are just crappy, my voyager legend make much better job on noisy environments, these pick up all the noise around you, and no, there is no way for you to adjust that
Second, I have a hard time talking with two earbuds in my ears, such as when one might use these headphones for wireless calling
Had a hard time keeping the Sony buds in my ears and they are not as comfortable.
The battery always seems to be dead at the most inopportune times, and it takes forever for it to recharge.
They still earned 4 starts because of the overall superb sound quality (even if I had a hard time getting the buds to stay in right), the regular noise cancelling and the ambient sound noise cancelling both worked very well
I don't use that because it makes a noise every time it
My primary use for these Sony Premium Noise Cancelling Wireless headphones (WI-1000X) is for skype conference calls in my office
I honestly had assumed that I already reviewed these Sony Premium Noise Cancelling Wireless earbuds because I loved them so much when I first received them and I tend to review the items I love faster than those I don't.
The Sony Premium Noise Cancelling Wireless Stereo Headset has automatic noise cancelling and Noise Cancelling Optimizer
