Quiet operation, easy to setup, packaged very well and sounds just incredible
The unit has all of the features of a quality device (simple, solid tracking, good sound, easy installation, phono outputs and built-in preamp) but none of the actual metal parts to give it a solid feel and smooth operation of the controls
The controls, start, stop and arm up/down, makefor a simple/easy operation.

This (regardless of what others may have said) was extremely easy to set-up, as well as great for recording my record collection!
It’s a great record player and I am happy with the purchase.
The mechanism itself performs well and the sound is as one would expect from a hundred-dollar turntable; but that's OK because the dynamic range of the typical record (excepting those produced by top-of-the-line studios and equipment)is such that when the sound is transferred to digital media, the recording will probably be disappointing anyway if one is into sound reproduced professionally.
I understand it was used or refurbished and a reduced price but to be missing so much was a joke.

It's a great turntable at a great price, for people like me who don't want to spend over 300 dollars for a turntable but have had bad experience with the cheap although pretty-looking colorful turntable-briefcases around

Granted, the Memorex unit was a "do it all" machine and this turntable only makes computer files out of vinyl records (to be burned to CD's), but what a job it does
For the price, you get a good quality turntable with USB output
Written instructions and Sony's Audio Studio LE CD that accompanies the turntable are difficult to understand and frustrating to use.
The turntable really does the trick of digitalizing my old recordings and taking out all of the noise.
