EVERYTHING WAS AS ADVERTISED AND IS A WONDERFUL PRODUCT.
a much better product than the Phillips recorder-player it replaced
Quick delievery, and all components seem to be working fine, refurbished product but everything seems to be in good condition
but I found that the directions were clear and the product was easy to use.
I have noticed that if one does not have the proper type input signal set on the machine (digital or analog) or the proper CD-R in the machine, the recorder will not recognize the input signal.
good machine, cd- to cd, record works great, will need to reveiw and learn many commands to record from analog, so far i am satisfied, i had a KLM', for 4 years before it died, and could not be fixed, this machine is a reconditioned, and was a good price at around 200.00, good luck,
exactly what i was looking for with some bonuses, good price.

The main recommendation for the Sony 5 disc CD recorder is the price.
I ordered the Sony RCDW500C disc player recorder based on the extemely positive experiences I continue to have on Amazon, and it was the best price I could find on the internet.
It does do a fine job in just copying an entire disc...beyond that
Obviously not all of the vinyl records have come thru without it's share of clicks and giggles, but I have a KLH TNE/DNF devices that do a great job of reducing them

Since all music is automatically compressed in digital form, the quality of the audio isn't even worth converting to CD (at least to me).
On Advent Heritage speakers, the four feet high kind, or Sennheiser HD 600 headphones, which have an incredible sound quality, I can hear no difference.

Very satisfied with this recorder, very easy to set up and operate, very good results.
When the recorder is working the way it should, it is a great machine with great results.

i was able to obtain as found it is no longer being produced by sony and i use this recorder lots as it can copy anything transmitted into my stereo-product also came fairly fast withing the estimated time frames given earlier and in good shape given the distance travelled-thought there would be more savings to buying from US but found not much difference after adding in taxes, shipping and cross border duty fees-cost worked out almost same as buying in canada-the customer service contact was fast and reliable so no issues w/ product support.no hesitation in buying from this source again.
It was received in good shape but will not pause so he can not burn the music like he wants too.

The recorder/player works very well for the purpose for which it was purchased

So - I ran across the Sony and $230 was a pretty good lure - it does make a nice CD but has a couple distractable quirks 1
My past experience has been many don't work because unless the blank CDs are PERFECT ( any small manufacturing defect can cause them NOT to work) and the slightest dust/vibration can result in failure
Admittedly, I don't make CDs constantly like some but one year later, it continues to work great!

This unit worked til the warranty ran out then jammed with my media inside.
I wrote to Amazon and they gladly took the unit back and refunded the whole amount.
All CD to CD recording is done internally and digitally from deck A to deck B resulting in excellent data transfer between the discs as long as the unit doesn't have "disc error" problems which happen quite frequently

this unit is great to record on for a dj and for home use
If you want to go ahead anyway, make sure you use CD-RW and not CD-R discs because you will need to erase frequently and start over
Also, received a C13 Error - not successful because of Vibration or a dirty disc -- the error message was not true because there was no vibration or dirty disk.
The first unit I got worked about 3 weeks, then had trouble finalizing discs and eventually stopped functioning
Plus, I had purchased a disc printer and needed to use white face discs compatible with thermal printing.
My project is to transfer vinyl LPs and cassettes to CD and wasted about 20 discs to get 2 usable ones.
