Sony SRS-XB21 Portable Wireless Bluetooth Speaker, Blue (SRSXB21/Ll)

    • There's a USB charging port in the back of the unit, which is a great feature that lets you top up your phone or tablet if you need some extra juice
    • This speaker has a lot going for it:++ a wonderful form factor, very easy to carry around++ a full bodied sound, neither too bright nor too muddy++ excellent volume - no need to strain to hear even in a loud room++ a great textured fabric covering, which is awesome to the touch++ stellar lights that pulse in time to the music and add a whole new level of engagement (yes, I might be tacky)++ an awesome waterproof feature ... which I probably won't test unless by accident++ options to connect another unit (to get a L-R pair as with traditional stereo)++ ...and battery powered ... so need to tether it to a
    • Another really nice feature is that you can charge the unit with the included AC adapter, OR via a standard MicroUSB cable (as long as the cable can provide 1.5A of power)
    • so I don't think it's the TV.The LED lights are a cute feature and tend to keep up with the beat
    • Those light features are incredible and the material which speaker was made from is very comfortable and durable
    • Nice added feature
    • Nice added feature
    • So on my second test, I turned the lights off (with a long depress of the battery button on the back, which kills the "lights" feature)
    • I hated that feature
    • That's a very nice feature to have when you're wondering how much battery power you have left.
    • There is one interesting/useless feature
    • LOL.The multi-directional feature is cool, and works great for a small speaker like this.

    • Yes, I got carried away with them, with futuristic designs and questionable features, but I had to have the newest and best
    • But outside of physical style and flashy features they are actually very similar in delivering impressive sound although head to head the Bose wins hands down for sound clarity and quality.
    • I wanted this one to be able to use wirelessly at times, and with it's good features, it should be ok; but I wished it had the versatility to stay on when plugged into a wall outlet as my taking it out with me would be a smaller percentage of the time
    • This is a pretty nice feature, with one big exception - you need to have all of the same, or similar, portable Sony speakers
    • This totally optional app unlocks some cool extra features like equalizer settings and really cool extras like the ability to chain multiple (compatible) Sony wireless speakers together from one device
    • I was really surprised how much I like the light feature
    • Not only is it great looking, it also has good bass and other cool features
    • The control panel on the back of the speaker has a button that will announce how much battery life remains - a nice feature to have
    • , app allows a lot of customizationThe Bad: Is very bass-heavy even when tuned, Default lighting can be annoying, Nonsensical “feature” for tapping on sidesThe Bottom Line: This speaker is a very good party speaker - it is very loud and the lighting is pretty cool
    • Yes, I got carried away with them, with futuristic designs and questionable features, but I had to have the newest and best
    • Yes, all the lighting features are cool and probably appeal to a younger crowd - especially with the extra heavy bass.
    • These features might be fun to play with, but they do not make up for subpar sound quality or really add anything to the music listening experience
    • Maybe this summer - pool party!I like everything about this speaker - the sound, the looks (mine is red - more like a ruby red - think Dorothy's slippers in 'The Wizard of Oz'), and the features.
    • Personally, I’m not too focused on the colors, but it’s a cool feature for parties
    • I personally think this feature is lame, and I can't really see what, if anything in the music is cueing the lights
    • Excellent sound quality for the price and the RGB light features are incredible
    • They might enjoy the lights and the tapping feature

    • Obviously you can use it indoors as well, but the waterproof feature makes it ideal to take out on the patio or beside the pool or camping or wherever you'd want music and don't want to worry about your speaker being damaged by rain or water.
    • I love how quickly it charges, how light it is, and the waterproof feature is a bonus! It also has SERIOUS bass, considerably more than the SRS-XB30 did
    • Since I do not have two of the speakers, I could not try it out, but it's a nice feature to have for listening to music
    • I also especially like the feature of being able to pair it with another of the same model to get wider sound dispersion and even a stereo effect.
    • The bass is there, the features are just right, the size is spot on
    • The light feature is cool and attractive; I appreciate that it doesn't look cheap or tacked on, yet when deactivated you wouldn't guess that the thin white bars around the grill are lights
    • Some cool sound features.
    • It is WELL worth it for the full range sound alone - but all the other features make this an absolute winner.
    • I didn’t like the “live” feature even though it’s supposed to make it sound better
    • outlet! There are a couple of odd features that I don't expect to ever use: strike it at different locations to create sounds, and daisy chain 100 of them (yes, 100)
    • The Sony Music App facilitates this feature
    • Otherwise, the features are pretty much the same -- and those features are impressive for a Bluetooth speaker.
    • I didn't try it, but you can join these speakers together wirelessly - an impressive feature if you have a lot of these around (up to 100!)This also works, of course, with your phone as a speakerphone
    • Lights are a cool feature.
    • The Live Sound mode is a great feature
    • I was curious as to how good it sounded, regardless of how gimmicky the light features were
    • Usually, I would recommend this option; however, the flat line on the EQ did sound as good as if you elevated each of the three areas (treble, midtone, bass) in some successive pattern
    • One issue I did have and found that other people have, though, is that it will stutter as if it’s buffering about once per song when connected to an Android phone running 6.0 Marshmallow, which admittedly is a few years old now
    • We use it for background music at home as well as when my daughters are practicing routines with their music.
    • If you pour water on your speaker you don't have to worry as it will bead off the thing.
    • On my first test run, I had played it with the light show going the full time, as well as with the above average sound level
