Top quality and many features that you will be able to use this for more than just a mixer
The Mackie has a good sound, but knobs and sliders felt very cheaply made A&H has great quality with lots of headroom, however I struggled getting a good effects sound and the same with the Yamaha
Soundcraft, you have no quality control like your old days

Piezo pickups in general do not need more gain, so a Preamp is not exactly the correct thing: what is needed is an impedance buffer, or maybe it could be called an impedance transformer

This is a great console for those who need an easy-to-learn desk for live sound and could use a few handy effects
The built-in limiters on channels 1 & 2 and the internal effects sound wonderful and are such a bonus on a console as compact as this.

The built in limiters had a threshold that was set absurdly high and are all but useless, and the effects are truly mediocre

The main thing is the very flexible routing for a small format mixer

As the routing can be a little complex, it pays to take a few minutes to trace each signal path completely before starting to make sure that the patch cables are all going to the right places
