We bought these and out air vents in a 2013 Hyundai elantra are in weird places but that is our fault for not checking

Just put the thin metal plate that it comes with inside your phone case and stick this to one of your air vents and you have the best and easiest car phone mount I have ever used.

After about 5 months the rubber piece that covers the metal prongs, which stick into the air vent, came off

Stick this in an air vent near the steering wheel and it holds an iPhone perfectly.

Minimal articulation for plate will be useful - I have vertically inclined air vent plates, so have to mount it only in the bottom.

One concern with magnetic car mounts is the possibility of pulling out the phone along with the mount itself (if the magnet is stronger than the clip holding onto the air vent)

Longer 'arms' would be good too - doesn't fit all cars - if there is a handle on the air vent, this won't sit flat and the phone won't mount.

This isn't anything wrong with the device itself, but more about the fact that it clips onto your air vents

Just make sure that your air vents are exactly where you want your phone to be
