Spigen Tough Armor Galaxy S8 Plus Case with Reinforced Kickstand and Heavy Duty Protection and Air Cushion Technology for Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus (2017) - Gunmetal

    • I prefer the TPU ones that have the hard shell going on top of it instead of on the phone directly
    • The hard plastic shell is the culprit
    • The the Otter Box case itself, without being snapped into the hard shell, is very very similar to this Spigen thing, but with a thin hard plastic inner shell, under the silicon rubber, which solidly supports the phone.
    • A rubber gripped outter shell would have been nice but its a very nice case.
    • Nearly as thin as this thing, but a much more secure and protective 2 piece plastic shell that snaps around the phone, like my old Otter Box did with my old HTC.
    • Hard shell portion of case is warped or defective in one corner.
    • The phone is a 2-part design with a hard shell and soft shell, which both stay put and do not move
    • The phone is a 2-part design with a hard shell and soft shell, which both stay put and do not move
    • Then it snaps in the hard shell, if you want, with the belt clip
    • Snaps in either way, too, like my old one did, with the phone face down (completely covered by the back of the hard shell for maximum protection while on the belt), or with the phone face up where you can use the phone just fine.
    • The other reason I gave this 4 stars is because the harder outer shell seems to be finicky to get snugly on, and I feel that it will need some time being frequently used before the bottom, black layer (which feels like rubber, but without the lint-magnet quality) relaxes enough to allow the hard shell to slide easily into place
    • The worst design flaw in this case is that there actually is a button to depress to activate Bixby, they would have done much better to make that button hidden under the hard shell of the case to begin with.
    • It is mounted on a hard shell that comes with the case, that the case will *optionally* snap into.
