Reviews around time (5.00 of 5)

  • The last part is especially fun, flying around with the super flame power up, blasting the crud out of Ripto's robot bird... good times, good times
  • I have beaten the game numerous times, over and over again... yet I still enjoy playing it to this very day
  • I find it slightly disappointing that, this time around, every stage has exactly 400 gems.
  • a star was because it seems like it takes much less time to beat than the first Spyro game, which I can understand because it's a childrens game first and foremost.
  • Great game to play I enjoyed every time I have played since I have gotton the game my family likes it too

  • dragon! But still this game kicks of spyro the dragon from the shelves! It's has better graphics, good sound and cool boss
  • It has so much to it with great graphics and sound, loads of stuff to collect and tasks to accomplish, and it's just a game that's extremely hard to not like
  • The sound is great too, the effects are quite nice and the music is pretty fitting

Reviews around ability (5.00 of 5)

  • Some new features in this include some fun mini-games, the ability to swim, and some new power-ups like the super charge, super flame breath, and super flying power
  • ...your argument is invalid.+Spyro has a lot of different useful moves like dashing, gliding, swimming, and fire-breathing as well as some unlockable abilities unique to certain levels such as temporary flight and powerful fireballs.+Each level has it's own unique opening and closing cutscene that shows the locals in trouble in the opener and the aftermath of Spyro's visit in the closer
  • and I likes the 3 abilities and the 3 homewards Summer Forest, Autumn Plains, and Winter
  • 8/10+Autosave 10/10-Not enough new abilities 7/10-Levels are a bit small 7.5/10-Storyline is a bit

Reviews around spyro (4.49 of 5)

  • Spyro has a few new tricks up his sleeve in this outing
  • This is my favorite video game of all time, and definately my favorite Spyro game
  • , I love Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage, but it is kinda different from the first one
  • The second one was a lot better, but the ultimate and my favorite Spyro game is definetly the 3rd
  • Whether you are a die-hard Spyro fan and just missed out on this game, or you just heard of the series and are looking for an ideal game for yourself or as a gift to another video gamer, I highly recommend this game

Reviews around character (4.16 of 5)

  • A player might think Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage is throwing in TOO MUCH and therefore, you may assume you need to try and remember all the characters you come across in order to follow a story (which isn't true because once you complete a stage, most of the time you never see that character again, so please do NOT worry about having to follow along to any kind of complex storyline).
  • Exploring and learning and collecting within a magical, dreamy, peaceloving, almost Wizard of Oz type land full of beautiful scenery and places, lots of strange characters and creature and things, and lots of pretty psychedelic colors, lights, and special effects
  • Phenomenal graphics for its' time, cool characters, funny dialogue and family friendly, all at the same time
  • Cute characters, interesting things to do, bright colors
  • This is also the game where Spyro first meets Hunter the cheetah, and hes still one of the best video game supporting characters of all time

Reviews around color (4.16 of 5)

  • As a child I enjoyed the colors, sounds, and smooth gameplay; as a young adult, it is fun to challenge myself to completing the game
  • Cute characters, interesting things to do, bright colors
  • This game genre has been done in countless ways, but this really does rank up there with those long hour killing days of manipulating Mario around, but in a magical, fairy tale land all presented in intense colors and shapes and forms.
  • Exploring and learning and collecting within a magical, dreamy, peaceloving, almost Wizard of Oz type land full of beautiful scenery and places, lots of strange characters and creature and things, and lots of pretty psychedelic colors, lights, and special effects
  • My favorite color has always been purple, I was born on the same month, Sept, and our age would be the SAME, hes me if I was a dragon, I see so much of me in him

Reviews around control (4.10 of 5)

  • The gameplay is still awesome, the controls are still smooth too but with a few new added controls
  • The controls are very easy to get used to, so you won't have to be doing any confusing combos
  • There's a terrible escort mission, a hockey match with terrible ice controls, and a handful of missions that require memorization, perfection, or a bit of luck that can only be accomplished through trial-and-error.-Moneybags
  • Spyro 2's controls are very smooth and work almost perfectly
  • the Dragon was a big success on Sony's PlayStation for many reasons: its excellent platforming gameplay, smooth controls, and tons of stuff to collect

Reviews around graphic (3.98 of 5)

  • I love the story mode and the old school graphics of this game
  • The graphics have improved as well, and look fairly good
  • Phenomenal graphics for its' time, cool characters, funny dialogue and family friendly, all at the same time
  • Still though, a greatly made game with great graphics for its time, just as great as the first one but different
  • It has so much to it with great graphics and sound, loads of stuff to collect and tasks to accomplish, and it's just a game that's extremely hard to not like

Reviews around level (3.75 of 5)

  • In this game you get to travel through 4 new worlds with over 30 colorful levels with your old buddy Sparx and your new companion, Hunter, the cheetah
  • There are new mini-games like Hockey, Roller-Coasters, Dunk-the-targets and even a new flight level mini-game where you help Hunter! There are 4 fantastic flight levels and 3 wonderful and mysterious lands where you get to collect 10/10 talismans, 64/64 orbs/bouncing planets, thieves and all gems
  • Nongamer him and 4 year old me struggled through the game's levels, bosses, and challenges taking occasional breaks from the action to replenish our lives (through the slaughter of many a sheep) and swearing to chuck the game against a brick wall in the end
  • From the beginning when Spyro and Sparx leave for Dragon Shores to the time they actually get there, I remember loving the different levels, boss fights, and challenges
  • Sound doesn't work, game works for the most part except a few (well, more than a few) levels

Reviews around ripto (1.35 of 5)

  • First, Ripto is much easier to beat than Gnasty Gnorc
  • You have Spyro The Dragon, Ripto's Rage and Year Of The Dragon.
  • Don't worry, Ripto's Rage is still a huge game, maybe even bigger than the original.
  • There are many "buried treasures" in the Playstation One library, which is vast beyond belief, but Spryro 2: Ripto's Rage is one of the very best.
  • Naturally, a sequel was released a year later: Ripto's Rage

Reviews around riptos rage (1.00 of 5)

  • I had this one (Riptos Rage) at one point, but had lost it
  • And unbelievably, the second game in the series being "Riptos Rage" lived up to the expectations of many fans
  • Riptos Rage is a very fun game, but when you get up to some part and you cant do it, you die and u have to keep on going and going until you beat it
  • The levels I do have to say are mich shorter but there are Just as many worlds in riptos rage so if you just take the time collect all your jems and orbs and dont avoid enemies and complete side
