I have a few other short scale basses which I love, but when I need a reliable instrument that is going to do what I want it to do, this is the one I reach for.
If you match up with the newer line of Fender bass amp., I would recommend the 25 and up watt, it's a great practice instrument for just starting or a seasoned player.

This is a wonderful student bass which I like playing a lot more than the full sized basses, so we switched out the pickup for a really nice Fender P-bass pickup and now it sounds just like a pro!
It isn't as nice as a Mexican made Fender, and it certainly can't compete with a USA Fender, but for one of the cheapest Squire models, it kills.

I love the 30'' scale, the looks, and it plays awesome

There is a rusted screw, scratches, and the guitar was dirty upon arrival as well.
I would recommend this guitar to anyone who's always wanted to learn, but doesn't have a thousand dollars for that dream Fender American Standard Jazz Bass.
For the price this turned out to be a very good bass guitar
It came right on time, beautiful guitar and sounds great.
It has an outstanding wooden neck which makes sliding easy and comfortable
so I took it in to get it to a guitar store and they told me that the neck was badly warped, almost close to being unfixable, but luckily they got it straightened out the best they could
From the 2nd fret down to the end of the neck where it goes into the body it is pretty normal how a neck should look like (constantly getting a bit thicker)
The neck on the first fret is 1 to 1,2mm thinner (like a bump, see picture) than on the 2nd fret which is also strange

The Squier Bronco Bass is great for guitarists who occasionally need a bass, younger beginners, smaller players, or for anyone who likes the feel of a short-scale (30") bass
It tunes easily and sounds full and rich, thanks to its single-coil pickup, maple neck, die-cast tuners and solid agathis body
