It clearly works, and it is a good solution if you have a very large IDE hard drive.
If you have a laptop with mSATA support, you may want to check what version of SATA it is capable of, and if you have the same issue as me, this device is a GREAT solution for getting the true performance out of your mSATA drive.

It is supposed to work the other way 'round - hooking a SATA drive into an old main board that was made for IDE hard drives - but I have no such main boards, so I can't check that ability
It was super easy to install into the casing as well as into my Alienware machine
Like this - easy way to use the 3.5 ide drive.... wish the inside pins were a little easier to connect.
Needs more room for the IDE cables or a better way of managing them.
If you are looking for an easy way to make a redundant boot drive, this unit isn't it.

Thought it was a great idea to have an adapter rather than an entire IDE base.
I uploaded a few pics so that you might get a better idea of the setup
Good idea and concept, just not reliable in my usage.
The adapter idea is excellent; it lets you plug in your IDE drives on this dockbut not enough info for jumper settings on IDE drive
It seemed like a good idea, however, the cables crimp badly when you're trying to get a HDD aligned with the holes, and if you want to re-use it you run the risk of causing a short or a data cable break.
