A few minor gripes, the cables are a little excessive, there's about 3 connections from headset to audio port
-
there is a high chance you migh not recieve the full package, as cables tend to be missing and the only thing you can do is buy a new proprietary cable pack for your brand new headphones
-
While the headphones themselves sound pretty good, are light weight and very comfortable, the ones I purchased came with a defective cable that connects to the console controllers
-
Instead I now have the sturdiest MUSB cable I’ve ever even held
-
My only complaint is the cable
-
The headphones also have an analog input, so you can ditch the specialty cable and use a nice audio cable instead, which is what I just started doing
-
Proprietary cables means if you lose or damage the cable that plus into the headset (8 pin to 8 pin) or the controller (8 pin to 4-pole), as they are separate cables, you're out of luck until you can order new cables from SteelSeries
-
I have the Arctis 5, which I also liked, except for the bulky and weird and.. weird cable system, with the control thing in the middle that moves if I even think about breathing near it
-
It's unnecessary, pretty annoying, and if you break your cable, say bye bye to your headset
-
Cable is easily broken and customer service from SteelSeries are NOT HELPFUL at all
-
Another flaw is the cables themselves
-
Next it has proprietary cables
-
They even expect you to do that, the box includes a long and heavy braided cable with beefy inline controls for PC, and a super Sony look-a-like mobile cable with inline mic and pause/play controls
-
Then after a week of not playing, the cable for the PC stopped working
-
The 1.2 meter proprietary cable is ridiculously short
-
I should have already covered my complaints about, but is otherwise amongst one of the better cabling I’ve gotten in products like this
-
Bad cable?
-
8 months later the cable is already starting to break
-
The second was that they do not like to work with Razer Synapse on your pc as it will try to control the headphones
-
You download SteelSeries 3, enter the supplied code to “activate” the surround option, then enable 7.1 in the software, as well as in game
