I appreciate what the product can do and was useful in setting up my guitar, however, the product seems used-- it has scratches on both sides (one big one), is discolored and the corners seem worn, very disheartening.

Has some pretty sharp edges which may scratch things if not careful, but the measurements look accurate to me, and are pretty easy to read when looking perpendicular to a guitar neck.
Hence the desire to purchase a string instrument action ruler that lays across the frets for a consistent measurement
