My hanger is only about eight inches from the ceiling so the guitar body hangs in the middle of the wall.

I love this thing, its keeps my guitars stored in a very stylish way and was very easy to install!
If you leave it loose enough that the yoke will automatically pivot to match an odd-shaped headstock (like a Telecaster), the whole thing feels pretty flimsy overall.
The GREAT thing about these is that your guitar(s) are always "right there" and you can choose whichever one you have a hankering to play at that moment
If you turn the yoke another turn or two, so that the rubber washer is more compressed and the whole thing is tighter, it does firm things up a bit, but everything still sags.
These things are easy to install and look great on the wall.

Super easy to mount on our drywall type walls in our apt - loved the fact they actually came with the correct mounting & not some of the crappy stuff some vendors give you / EXCELLENT padded hooks / holds our two acoustic guitars perfectly (Washburn dreadnought & Ibanez parlor - bought two)

The screws are a little bit hard to hand screw in if you are also using the dry wall plugs, so I would recommend a drill.
I actually have an acoustic bass hanging on it (a bit heavier than a normal acoustic and WAY heavier than a classical) and it is solid as a rock (again, STUDS)
It worried me a bit, so I decided to grab the stud finder and put them up around the room by studs only
I wish the angle was a bit more finely adjustable in order to accommodate instruments with different centers of gravity
They seem a bit more secure since they latch closed to prevent any risk of a fall, especially important when wanting to hang a more expensive guitar.
