Turns out a lot of cookware nowadays are made to be induction compatible, and say so on their packaging, so they were easy to find

The advantage of precise temperature control and ability to quickly raise/lower temperatures especially for an online cooking class is paramount

The controls are clear and respond well and the surface is easy to clean

the 15 cook levels means greater control, and the temperature feature make it much easier to judge what cooking level to use and results in less overcooked or burned food.

Pros: (1) easy to clean (2) much faster to heat up whatever you are cooking compared to gas or electric stoves (3) you have a much better control over temperature as you can set your cooking temperature right on the device

It does a good job of getting water boiling and such quick

And my pot did not boil over it, not sure how that was done but good job!

Note: this is induction cooktop so it only works with induction cookware and stainless steel cookware

For those that say it won't work with stainless steel, remember that real stainless steel usually isn't magnetic

Try sticking a magnet to your stainless steel refrigerator!I would buy this again.

It also included the induction cookware tester for you to test ur cookware before using, which is great because not all stainless steel cookwares are make the same

These heavy cast-iron enameled pots need a minute or two to come up to temp on any type of cooking surface because they are thick metal - it seems they warmed up a bit quicker with this unit than my normal electric cook-top.

Without some sort of probe the same issue would exist for any brand or model of induction cook-top.

Basically, the15 power settings give similar performance as a gas or electric cook-top - through experience you just learn 'how high' works for what you are cooking.

I now understand why one of my friends, who is a gourmet cook, replaced her high-end gas cook top with an induction model

After the water boiled, I change the temperature to 200 and it’s the perfect temperature for hot pot

If all I wanted to do was boil a bit pot of something - it would be great!

If you choose the correct type of cookware, this is great cooktop to have.

I heard a "plink" noise and saw that the cooktop had a large crack in it.

When it’s turned off and the cooktop is still hot, it will display an “H” for safety reasons which is a good feature

The burner heats up the pan VERY fast to very high temps

Only concern for ANY induction cook-top unit which has surface touch-sensitive controls is to be aware you may have to unplug the appliance and dry the controls if you have a major spill; if a liquid is covering the controls you probably will not be able to adjust the settings.

But at the low end it's 100-W or 200-W: not fine enough
