I do not think the GPS on my instinct will be quite as good as the ambit 3, but more features and a slimmer profile definitely appeals to me.

I loved my Ambit 1 ............ in fact so much that I didn't bother buying the Ambit 2

This is definitely a good purchase if you're in the military.
I've had this watch for about a year and a half at this point and can say it's one of the best purchases I've made
When I first purchased this watch, the POI / Location features worked quite well, and I uploaded many coordinates on two continents that I needed to have for basic navigation and emergency use.

I got bored and decided to venture out to a FR935, which is a light watch with a ton of features, but at the end of the day, couldn't cut it in terms of dependable accuracy

My favorite feature, however, is the "Find Back" function, which directs you back to the point at which you started the activity
Each screen can be altered based on what you want to see, the customization is a great feature, have as many or as few easily accesible screens available to you
The phone app and workout builder have been a great feature to learn
The activity monitor is a "neat" feature with some pretty advanced functions for cardio-zone planning and the ability to use METS information to set your watch up to accurately interpret your workouts.
Some really cool features for me lay in the ability to setup custom activities
Overall this is/was a great product with a surprisingly long battery life considering the refresh and accuracy rates I typically use on my GPS.
I can't sir).I am, at the moment, a deeply unsatisfied customer, as I have an expensive product that only stopped working after I followed advise from the manufacturer and then got blamed for breaking it.
It's a great product... but for a serious power user or on an expedition in more austere environments the Movescount mess makes it impractical.

Excellent product, I've been using it for 2 weeks now, great quality, fast to get the GPS signal and to pair with the HR belt
I love the huge watch face, but my primary issue with this watch is the battery life
The only, ONLY reason I did not give a single star is that the battery life IS good, but completely not worth the other problems that are wrapped up in this watch.

I wouldn't wear it with a suit, but assuming you have the right "look" (sporty or active, for lack of a better descriptor), you're not going to get weird looks
