However, if you were making bacon, the grease could splatter on the uncovered back burner, assuming your stove is set up like ours

If you are planning to use this on a stove top (mine is smooth top) be aware that even when heating up very slowly, it will probably warp on the first use.

If you have a flat top stove, be aware of that possibility
