Reviews around jrpg (5.00 of 5)

  • If you own a Vita this is probably the best JRPG you can plan outside of all those PS1 classics.
  • Overall it's a really good, fun, and enjoyable portable jrpg.
  • Great JRPG for the vita

Reviews around gameplay (5.00 of 5)

  • I loved Tales of The Abyss and expected something similar, but this was awful, the gameplay itself was actually somewhat solid, but the unoriginal writing, poorly designed environments and tacky character designs made the whole thing unpleasant.
  • This Tale does just about everything right, from the stunning graphics to the great Gameplay, excellent voice acting and grand story telling
  • The gameplay was really good at times and the boss battles were challenging, but the game's story is where I felt it fell flat

Reviews around kohaku (5.00 of 5)

  • Kor is fun in his innocent easily pushed around way, while Kohaku gets to slowly recover her personality
  • The story is great, the characters are well developed from the quiet Kohaku, to the busty egnimatic Ignes.
  • Kohaku was a emotionless through most of the game thanks to plot

Reviews around access (5.00 of 5)

  • Starting off with the simple 3-hit combos and generic artes, you eventually gain access to a simple points-based system allowing you to boost a core attribute (hp, sp, physical, and so on) while also unlocking skills and artes that you can assign
  • There is a learning curve with using artes magic attacks, putting them into shortcuts for easy access, leveling up your magic in categories (much like TOX here too) and learning special attacks

Reviews around graphic (5.00 of 5)

  • As of now I love the graphics, the story, the gameplay, the humor, and some of the characters
  • The graphics on the Vita are very good and the game doesn't look substantially worse than Tales of Xilia on the PS3

Reviews around attack (5.00 of 5)

  • There are several skills that increase damage reduction from blocking and enemies have an ability to break your combos with a powerful attack
  • There is a learning curve with using artes magic attacks, putting them into shortcuts for easy access, leveling up your magic in categories (much like TOX here too) and learning special attacks

  • The Good: Memorable story, great characters, lots of voice acting and dialog, deep and tense combat, New Game+ adds replayabilityThe Bad
  • That said, the characters were also very bland
  • Rita is still my favorite character and favorite Mystic Arte Pascal's lvl 4 Fever Dream with Mecha Asbel and Mecha SophieYep still a costume addict buy tons and tons from the PSN store
  • Hisue was unlikable at the beginning go the game, and by the end of the game, even after some character development, he was still an unlikable try hard character
  • I loved Tales of The Abyss and expected something similar, but this was awful, the gameplay itself was actually somewhat solid, but the unoriginal writing, poorly designed environments and tacky character designs made the whole thing unpleasant.
