The earlier Bluetooth standard with higher latency was unusable for TV, IMO.

Bought it so that I could listen to my Samsung Smart TV through my JBL Elite 700 Bluetooth headphones

so I could connect my TV to my Bluetooth earphones and it works great.

Also if the unit battery is too depleted you have to turn it off for 5 min while charging otherwise the low battery tone will keep going off even when the charging cable is connected.

The unit worked for one day and after that stopped working.

Sunvalley Brands, who are the sellers of this product, have sent me and unsolicited replacement for the defective unit.

The other ones had problems with transmit range and interference, but this unit has been working much better.

This is a much better unit compared to some of the earlier products from the same company

9/13/17So I have been using this and there is another annoying issue that has surfaced

I use it in rx mode to stream music from my iPhone 7 to my powered speaker vis the TA0-BA08.The problem, and it is a big one, is that the unit beeps loud every ten seconds when the iPhone goes out of range, for example when I leave the house so everyone else that stays in the house will hear a loud beep every ten seconds unless they get up and walk to the unit and turn it off; another issue is when the connection is broken (i.e. leaving the house), I have to turn off and on the TAO-BA0 again to reconnect, it will not do it automatically and that is a pain

Update: I reached out to customer service regarding the issue that I have & they sent me a replacement item

Walk around no sound degradation, using microwave oven, and standing near by sound cuts out completely, which is much better than my old cordless headphones, which would be filled with unbearable static

Unfortunately, when the charging cable is plugged into my computer, I noticed a strange effect on the audio; an increased hum and an echo that can be heard when a song is paused abruptly

First I blamed the Echo but realized it's this little piece of junk transmitter

If device is plugged in, the audio has a strong background noise that makes it almost impossible to use while the device is charging.

Still not quite as loud as plugging earphones in directly to the same jack as I used for the TaoTronics, but the TaoTronics will be quite usable for the uses for which I bought it.
