CHEAP PLASTIC!

The plastic down near the suction cup melted and then broke, making it impossible to adhere

It looked like the plastic had eroded or melted away, major disappointment.

The gripping arms arent strong so the plastic cracks and breaks

When metal becomes hot, it's hot, when plastic becomes hot it melts

I've had another tgat was a similar mounting style & the suction piece broke off, this one feels like the plastic is better quality & I hope that wont happen with this one.

The plastic that holds it in the windshield gets loose & its droopy

The black base cracked from where it was attached to the clear suction mount -- the hard plastic cracked all around, and even gluing it may not be a sure fix

The plastic broke away from the suction cup in the first week of use

It just sort of sits there and the plastic feels pretty

the plastic that goes into the suction cup had broken off

Its clear the new plastic they're using softens up a bit too much in what I'd think should be a foreseeable and survivable temperature environment based on the intended purpose of the holder.

Received this phone holder and it seems pretty sturdy made with hard plastic.

The plastic on the suction cup melted and the entire unit fell off my windshield

I took it apart and fixed it, but it broke again due to the cheap plastic gears inside

The part you squeeze to clip on phone breaks too easily...cheap plastic tabs!!

The phone stand worked for about a month and then the plastic piece that secures the suction cup to the stand itself disintegrated and the stand became loose and eventually fell off the dash

The plastic breaks really easily when trying to secure a phone in the little arms.

Cheap plastic, broke within 6 months

A lot depends on rather fragile plastic bar, particularly subject to repeated tension (one presses on it to 'grip' the phone).I would not buy this product again.

But after having it for just under two months, the plastic literally crumbled and broke off at the stem.

By the time I got to my car it had leaked melted plastic all over the dashboard speaker grate and left melted residue on the windshield that I scraped with a razor and will still have to go back and clean.

I could tell the plastic felt thin from heat exposure and this morning it was broken.

When left in the car on a warm direct sunlight day, the rigid plastic disk that attaches the suction cup to the lever arm plunger breaks making the holder useless.

Broke at the base where the rigid plastic meets the suction cup after 3 months of very light-duty use.

Coming back to the product itself, the mount is made of good plastic

However, the adhesive has actually melted and this horrible plastic goo has dripped all over my dash

Made of cheap plastic

It wont stick to the smooth plastic area around my dash console

6 weeks after purchase and use, the plastic broke off from the suction and is not repairable

If that suction cup piece was replaced with metal or even a really strong plastic, just that piece, this thing would be amazing, but as it is, it's almost guaranteed to fail, maybe if you adjust it once and never touch it again you might get a year out of it, but I can't imagine much more with regular use

At about the six month mark, the plastic holding the arm to the suction cup broke.***UPDATE***Amazing customer service!

The plastic wasn't very sturdy

Great for 6 months, then the plastic center in the suction cup broke and now it's rubbish

Also, the plastic broke off from the rubber suction cup and I can't use it anymore

The plastic that attaches to the window warped from sun/heat within 1 yr and broke so the spring that helps suction the plastic stopped working

The plastic that connects it to the suction cup is now barely hanging on and it makes the phone very loose

Wish the plastic was stronger.

Also needs a hard smooth plastic surface or glass to securely attach

This is my second product from TaoTronics and none of them has worked for more than 5 months, The suction cup becomes irremovable if kept untouched for an extended period of time, in fact the plastic that goes into the suction cup

After just a few months of using this, the plastic inside the suction crumbled and it fell off my window

To bad it had to be made of cheap plastic

The pad/clip that holds the phone on both sides is very cheap plastic

The plastic breaks and separates from the suction cup.

Unless you clamp the phone REALLY tight, the plastic will rattle and annoy anyone in the car

The cheap plastic has multiple parts and pieces that don't easily stay together

Worked as it was supposed to for about two months

Keeps falling off my dash while driving!And the heat during summer makes it stick to the dash and becomes kind of jelly like!Would not recommend as it puts permanent patch on the dash!

I use it in my car, as well as on my motorcycle

Loving it as of now

Definitely disappointed as I thought I finally had a great mount

Extremely disappointed as it is now too late to return

The holder is very sturdy and accommodates my iPhone with the charger as well as when I have it plugged into the AUX cord.

I love this product in the beginning, but after 6 months of using the button that locks the suction cup on the car dashboard does not hold as strong as before

It keeps on falling off the wind shield as well as from dashboard

n’t had much luck with previous holders and they seem to fall off or

Ended up throwing it out after it kept falling on my lap as I as driving.

Broke only after a few weeks in the sun, very disappointing as I liked how it mounted
