Like others, my suction cup broke off the base completely

Within 2 weeks the suction cup ripped off from the plastic base

I wish I could buy a replacement suction cup, because I really liked the product, but I don't want to have to buy another one.

The suction cup works well and the swivel allows for virtually any viewing angle.

The suction cup is not the classic suction cup type that one normally thinks of (i.e. clear, stiff like those that hold up sun catchers in windows)... instead this one is squashy, sticky, and forms a suction by lifting up on the lever which pulls the center inward to create the suction.

The problem is the part that connects the black plastic holder to the clear rubber suction cup broke within 2 weeks

It turns out that there is a thin piece of plastic that has either broken or melted that helps to keep the suction cup rigid to the mount's frame

+ I think the weight gets to it after time and the suction cup comes loose and unsticks

The suction cup also left a nasty, goopy, sticky mess on my windshield that took solvent to remove

This product is really well made, and has a really great tacky suction cup attach to the dash.

While they performed well, on one of them the suction cup started to disintegrate into some sticky goo now dripping all over my dashboard

Unfortunately while changing the position on it very carefully the suction cup just broke an even I tried to glued it back

This is my second product from TaoTronics and none of them has worked for more than 5 months, The suction cup becomes irremovable if kept untouched for an extended period of time, in fact the plastic that goes into the suction cup

It also sticks pretty good, you just may need to wipe the suction cup with water occasionally to revive it so to speak.
