This kettle has a fine, attractive finish, is easy for my old hands to manipulate and boils quickly

It's attractive, handle is positioned so the steam doesn't burn your hand, and it has a nice "polite" whistle, not an irritating screech like some teakettles have.

After use, the large opening lets you get your hand in there to clean and dry it with a towel before you put it away

The black Bakelite handle is too thin and it burns your hand when you try to pick

It always spills when you pour it, and you need to use a pot holder so you don't burn your hand on the handle!
