HOWEVER - the thin plastic piece that holds the suction cup to the arm will crack and break on its own after a couple months, or in cooler weather.

A plastic piece had broken, the piece that compresses the spring, so the spring exploded.

It's never fallen off and just as strong as when I got it (a few months ago)

I attached the metal plate to the inside of my phone protector and it holds just as well as it would attached directly to the phone.

It works as it should, however if you have a phone that charges wirelessly don't get this.
