Technivorm Moccamaster 59462 KBG Coffee Brewer, 40 oz, Black

    • The coffee basket was cheap plastic, which is held in place by two tiny plastic pieces on the plastic arm above the carafe
    • Given the cheap plastic parts (especially those that may contain BPA), I'm inclined to return it and buy a Chemex.
    • Now, aside from the flimsy cheap plastic and odd cord positioning, is the more important part: brewing quality
    • It is odd to me that the tank is stainless and cooper, yet there is so much plastic, which I knew before I ordered, but I doubt it would be that difficult or expensive for the company to make that happen.
    • No timer (they market this as a feature by requiring you to only use fresh ground coffee)- Plastic parts
    • Yes, yes, to some that doesn't matter, BUT plastic IS cheaper
    • Many crappy plastic parts3
    • All of the parts assemble very easily, but the unit has the cheap plastic feel.
    • A "state of the art" expensive drip coffee maker that is intended to mimic a pour over should not be this difficult to set up and make with such flimsy plastic peripheral parts
    • It's made of cheap plastic parts and does not feature an automatic stop drip feature for the times when you want to pour a cup before the pot is finished brewing.
    • Aside from the fact that they are both also flimsy hard plastic, you have to take both off when making a pot
    • Flimsy plastic parts drag down the feel that you spent over $300 on a coffeemaker.
    • I love that all parts are recyclable and that I'm not drinking coffee that passed through toxic plastic.
    • Replace the cheap flimsy plastic with better quality, more durable materials
    • Low quality cheap plastic and glass
    • Plastic is cheap
    • There are two flimsy plastic lids you put on
    • I agree, in this price range one would expect some of the plastic to be heavier, or possibly the water tank be made of glass, but the plastic is toxin-free and unbreakable
    • I expected a much higher quality machine, but this is built from fragile cheap plastic
    • The machine itself seems solid, but stars deducted for some rather cheap- seeming plastic parts
    • It is quite pretty, and hopefully brews as great a cup as promised, but I am very disappointed in the flimsy plastic feel of all the moving parts
    • l love everything about my Moccamaster and look forward to it lasting 20+ years
    • Now l get excited about buying fresh roasted beans to grind and brew the best, most flavorful coffee l've ever drank
    • Temp for water is spot on as advertised and the coffee ends up being just as good as if I had made the cup on a pour over or french press.
    • I'm not sure if it was broken as I was taking it out or it was broken before or broken while taking out the dripper.
    • n’t get the fresh brew smell to awaken to.
    • No need for the bigger version (and I obsess about having enough)This maker elevates coffee, makes okay coffee good and good coffee great
    • Other wise i just paid a lot of money for hot water.
