TERK Dual-Drive, Amplified Indoor FM Antenna
Improve the reception of your favorite hard-to-get FM stations with the FM Edge antenna. It eliminates the distortion associated with traditional amplified antennas and provides the clearest possible reception of your favorite FM stations. Start enj...
So I would adjust it then step back a few feet each time, repeating until I found the sweet spot.
I was tired of walking around my living room with my old 52in dipole tryin gto find a sweet spot to get any signal above noise.
Moreover, while it might work better if it could be moved around and located in an "ideal spot," the cords are way too short and there's virtually no placement flexibility.
If you are willing to play around with this antenna a bit, you should be able to find its "sweet spot" also.

The nice long cord permitted me to place the antennna near my window.

In an attempt to improve a weak signal I routed a cable to the second floor and using the wire antenna that came with the receiver improved the
After being totally unsuccessful with this device I remembered my old radio days, went out to the garage, found some fine wire, stuck an end into the FM connector on my radio and, voila, the whole spectrum of stations (SF Bay area) come in.
The cheap wire that came with my radio works better than this product.
But I took both the wires that run from the antenna to the receiver and the power cord to the antenna and raised them, and performance improved greatly
Reception was far worse than with the passive wire antenna
I had raised the wire on the FM+ passive antenna in a similar manner to get optimum reception
I had reasonable FM reception with a $2 dipole antenna.
Maybe in particular regions, this device may work???Are there any Engineers out there that can build an FM Antenna that works?
I planned on using this antenna with my Sangean WR-2 Tabletop Radio, but the Terk FM+ Passive Antenna I already had hooked up outperformed the amplified version
All but the strongest FM signals were sent immediately to ground by the building
