The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Wii U

    • EX: you can cut down trees and push the logs down cliffs to smash enemies
    • Every enemy you face, even the generic ones get very op and destroy link in seconds, six hearts would be
    • Just like that game, Breath of the Wild has redefined gaming, combining elements of Zelda with the open world of Skyrim, and the fighting like Dark Souls (it's tough fighting enemies in the beginning)
    • Since the micro dungeons contain few enemies, most of the fighting is done on the world map
    • You need to learn how to fight, and analyze enemy attack patterns quickly
    • There is an enemy no more than a 5 minute walk from where you start that can kill you in two hits; and there are enemies that can one shot you scattered quite often throughout the map
    • This forces you to be aware of your surroundings, the sounds you make, and the sight lines, making stealth feel more engaging than the Metal Gear Solid series (I played up to IV, and the enemies were dumb).
    • Maybe you can't reach an important shrine because it's covered with traps and powerful enemy camps -- so why not swing around the back of the mountain it's perched on, cook some haste and stamina-restoring potions, equip your climbing-sped-buff headband and scale the thing with your bare hands to reach the shrine safely?
    • -You can manipulate the environment to hurt enemies
    • Because you have to find weapons to kill the many enemies that are scattered throughout the plateau and your weapons
    • It can be difficult to defeat powerful enemies early on but sometimes you can just dump bombs on Bokoblin camps until everything is ash
    • The weapon variety is amazing, even if you break a weapon, you are able to obtain another one from a fallen enemy making a enemy defeat a satisfying victory
    • The game uses extremely low weapon durability stats to encourage you to figure out alternative methods of taking out enemies, rather than traditional (fun
    • As the enemies got harder, I was able to defeat them, and it was really fun!Finding the shrines took ages, but the exploration was the best part
    • I've also seen minor hiccups when smashing an enemy up close with my sword (similar to the hiccups in Wind Waker that occasionally happened). No cookbook -There seem to be hundreds of different recipes you can create by mixing different herbs, foods, spices, animals together
    • couple enemies on screen and often certain types of enemies kill the frate rate by themselves (looking at you Moblins
    • My biggest complaints:-Not many enemy types-Some major fps drops in towns and in combat, especially when using elemental weapons (freezing weapons have actually caused the game to freeze for a
    • There are no dungeons, in order to get heart pieces you have to beat a shrine... weapons break, enemies in the beginning of the game can get one hit kills... whoever thought this was a good idea needs fired
    • Defeating enemies is highly tactical
    • Of course, the enemies never have this problem
    • I was enchanted by the footage of Link cooking (which was adorable), by the potential to explore, the many different ways of killing enemies, interacting with the environment (shield surfing! playing baseball!), and the combat mechanics looked absolutely spectacular
    • The need to strategize before and during battles is essential, as there are many ways to defeat enemies and their outposts
    • No i could take on those tougher enemies who were killing me with one hit and take their weapons too.
    • The world is huge, characters are charming, the RPG elements are intricate, and the enemies are punishing.
    • But be forewarned: in the beginning the enemies can do considerable damage, and you don't have many hearts to begin with, and it takes a lot to defeat them
    • As everyone has heard by now, enemies do massive damage to Link, Link does piddly damage to enemies, and all of Link’s
    • The game play forces you to think about how you would attack certain enemies or enter certain environments
    • And numerous times misjudged an enemy and died
    • This will often result in you having to open up the menu and pull out more weapons to kill the enemies
    • What’s amazing is that even after you have several of the key upgrades, the enemies still feel like a threat
    • Ocarina had exploration, a great immersive coherent story, big region unique dungeons with a different memorable boss fight at the end of each one, different enemies in each region, and great side quests
    • The enemies also do quite a bit more damage to Link than they ever have before in a 3D title.
    • There are free-form physics solutions to puzzles (not just pushing levers and buttons, but rolling rocks down hills to kill enemies, etc.).Technically, though the framerate dips a little at times, it has not hindered my enjoyment of this wonderful game, at all.
    • It has an open world that you can get lost in, tons of secrets, enemies are actually smart and interesting to fight, the shrine puzzles are very fun, YOU have control over the difficulty, and DOGS
