It lacks a lot of traditional Zelda charm and only features four dungeons (which are practically carbon copies of one another)
-
You've struck out a lot lately, but this game is a home run
-
Lags a lot on both the Wii U and the switch, but overall an excellent game.
-
A lot of fun and the open world is very cool.
-
Because the game needs to remain difficult even after many of the shrines have been completed, enemies do a lot of damage
-
This game is being touted as the best Zelda game in years or the best Zelda game ever, but I think the fanboy attitude has caused a lot of professional reviewers to overlook the many things wrong with the game letting Nintendo skip by with a 92 metacritic rating even though the game has its major problems
-
The game is entrancing, with the world being vast and vibrant, and a lot of small challenges and side-quests to overcome and acccomplish, without hurting the main, well versed story line of becoming the hero you were (meant to be)
-
Cons:-Weapons break a lot, maybe too much
-
unless you're playing this on a small set, it looks an awful lot like a PS2 game
-
That by no way means this game is easy, it's very challenging and you will die a lot in the first few hours specifically
-
Shall I fire a carefully-aimed explosive arrow from a nearby hillside and knock the lot of them off a nearby cliff?
-
The wide variety of different types of weaponry was also a lot of fun.
-
Great game just be prepared to die a lot at the beginning or if you walk into a fight you didn't plan for.
-
It's a new(ish) feature in 3D adventure games that is gaining a lot of traction and for good reason
-
Since the world is so vast and barren a lot of your time will be spent fighting enemies
-
I've heard a lot of whining about the durability system, i.e. weapons and shields degrade and break as you use them
-
the game tells you exactly where to go and what to do which can get stale (however the latest expansion has improved it a lot).I love that with BotW (and very possibly previous Zelda games
-
Cooking was a lot of fun, and I really enjoyed upgrading my armor
-
The game itself is fun though a lot of its depth is faked in the terms of "explore the world just cuz", with the core experience being surprisingly short and shallow in terms of puzzle/dungeon complexity
-
After that, the game features a lot of tracking down collectibles, and I wonder if maybe some kind of progressively-generated quest system could have been possible
-
But be forewarned: in the beginning the enemies can do considerable damage, and you don't have many hearts to begin with, and it takes a lot to defeat them
-
While this is mostly due to not being prepared, you can die a lot and meet some challenges
-
Fighting and exploration is so much fun, despite that you're most likely going to die, a lot
-
n’t regret it.
