Reviews around music (5.00 of 5)

  • Even though this is a shorter game than the rest of the games in the Zelda franchise, it still manages to be one of my favorites, The graphics are stunning, and the music is wonderful, in spite of being somewhat short and simple
  • Some good:-the graphics of the games were very crisp and colourful with sharply defined lines that makes it stand out.-there were a lot of beautiful music geared to different settings.-a lot of things to do
  • Absolutely charming atmosphere; rock solid gameplay; clever puzzles; awesome music; great weaponsTHE BAD
  • This game has a great storyline, great graphics, and wonderful music.
  • It had sharp graphics, nice music, and engrossing sidequests.

Reviews around condition (5.00 of 5)

  • The game works perfectly and is in really good condition for a used game boy advanced game
  • Game came in near perfect condition, everything works perfectly fine and personally i was expecting the game to be scratched up but on the contrary
  • But cartridge and name sticker was in perfect condition
  • The game is in good condition, not glitching while play.
  • Although the game arrived in just about perfect condition (even better than what I would expect buying used cartridge games from a physical store), and I can't even find a good reason why anyone shouldn't play this game, I have to say, its rather short!Other than that, though, this is just an all-around good game

Reviews around graphic (4.03 of 5)

  • The graphics are very good for a Gameboy Advance game, and the storyline is wonderful
  • This game has a great storyline, great graphics, and wonderful music.
  • Needless to say, after playing it for a little while, I had to put it down due to the terrible graphics.
  • The graphics made me just smile throughout the whole game
  • The graphics in this game are bright and colorful and everything moves along at such a smooth rate.

Reviews around item (4.03 of 5)

  • Connect with them and it opens a secret, either containing money, a piece of heart, or another kinstone piece which will lead to a better item or an upgrade like your wallet or bomb bag
  • Even classic items get an upgrade, with bombs now capable of being remotely controlled by Link
  • Some of the dungeons seem more involved than normal, but it's still a 10-15 hour playthrough tops (finding every item, doing every sidequest), with 7-10 being more the average
  • Cool items, they are, but I don't like them as much as the classic items, such as the bow and bombs
  • You're constantly traveling to unlock new areas to explore, gain new items, and learn new sword techniques

Reviews around gameplay (3.78 of 5)

  • Hard gameplay
  • The gameplay is pretty easy overall, and there are more side quests than dungeons
  • The graphics are great, the music is of beautiful old school Zelda, and the gameplay and mechanics are borderline perfect
  • This bothered me a
  • Minish cap is just another GREAT Zelda game with obviously awesome graphics and improved gameplay

Reviews around zelda game (3.78 of 5)

  • just because im giving this a bad rating doesn't mean that im offending this game, and the zelda games
  • The Minish Cap is a good Zelda game, but its definitely not the best in the series
  • Zelda veterans may be dissappointed with this aspect, as well as that the game's overall scope isn't too big, the game will take roughly 10 or 15 hours to complete (maybe less if you don't partake in any optional side missions or backtracking)
  • I am a big Zelda fan, and this is definitely in the top ten all-time best games, and probably the best Zelda game
  • This bothered me a

Reviews around link (3.75 of 5)

  • If you have played A Link to The Past (Four Swords), well, your in for an even better surprise
  • This makes for a weird looking link and goofy side kick
  • If you liked A Link to the Past, you'll like this game.
  • Now, even when Link is eager to save the world, he's entitled to have a hobby
  • Among them is the Gust Jar, which allows Link to suck in and split out air

Reviews around thing (3.66 of 5)

  • The really fun thing about this though, is when you shrink down to Minish size and go into temples.
  • Monster battles didn't get easier but the one thing that lowered the game's difficulty is the amount of damage Link takes per hit
  • What's great about all this is the game's ability to keep things fresh
  • Another of my favorite moments, is the first time you use the Mole Mitts, they're truly satisfying with the crunching sound you make, and for some odd reason, digging around is one of the most enjoyable things to
  • The funny thing is, I didn't realise how great this game was until the second time through, which

Reviews around story (3.61 of 5)

  • I want a good story, cool dungeons, weapons and abilities that its not the finding out how to use them that are hard, its the using them correctly that is hard
  • The story and characters in The Minish Cap are not stressed at all, and it's hard to remember why the plot requires you to do something
  • The story is awsome as well and the characters are full of life
  • First of all, the story is just lame.
  • It may be nearly the same thing we've heard in every Zelda game, but it still makes you gasp when you're supposed to and leaves you wanting more, and isn't that what a good story's all about?Umm

Reviews around vaati (1.61 of 5)

  • While attending the Picori Festival with Zelda, Link finds himself in the middle of a battle for Hyrule has Vaati wins a swordsman tournament and unleashes creatures, and petrifies Zelda
  • Zelda veterans may be dissappointed with this aspect, as well as that the game's overall scope isn't too big, the game will take roughly 10 or 15 hours to complete (maybe less if you don't partake in any optional side missions or backtracking)
  • The story revolves around the again mute Link having to rescue princess Zelda (real original, huh?) from the evil mysterious Vaati (no Ganon here), who has won a sword tournament, but then turns the princess to stone in order to abstract the Light Force which she carries to use to gain great powers
  • Ok, evil wizard Vaati, breaks the seal on the chest, releasing the evil back upon the land.
  • And Vaati cracks me up--imagine such a creature wanting to be The Greatest Sorcerer Ever!

Reviews around boss (1.61 of 5)

  • Now, the puzzles get a lot heavier during these areas, as you'll not only have to use certain weapons and abilities to figure out how to progress through these areas, but also have to figure out exactly how to beat each boss and exploit their cleverly disguised weaknesses
  • Fewer levels, simpler puzzles, and easy bosses reign supreme.
  • For instance, the final boss while not being super hard, is kind of frustrating due to the fact you face him 3 times, each one with several phases
  • The bosses are tough the first time around, but if you can figure out their patterns, you might emerge victorious
  • The small frustration I had with the game is that the final boss is hard

Reviews around shell (1.00 of 5)

  • Someone in Hyrule Town has a slot machine and the machine uses mysterious shells, found throughout Hyrule, you can bet up to 3 and try your luck at finding a figurine, with 130 to be found, 6 at the end
  • Visiting the sculptor's shop, Link could get chances to earn these figures by exchanging mysterious shells with him
  • Treasures in The Minish Cap take the form of rupees, kinstones and mysterious shells

  • The following information is not a continuation of my review for Zelda, the Minish Cap, but some comments on some of the negative reviews
  • Pains me to give a Zelda game such a bad review but that bird hat knocked off 3 stars for me.

More about The Legend of Zelda - The Minish Cap

  • Product description Another chapter in the popular ongoing Legend of Zelda series, for the Gameboy Advance handheld. From the Manufacturer There's always been a certain magic to Zelda games
  • The classic formula should have gotten old by now, but it hasn't
  • Perhaps it's because we all identify on some level with this shy, unlikely hero
  • Maybe the games remind us of our own childhood
  • Or perhaps these titles are consistently of such high quality that we can't help but love them
  • Regardless, The Minish Cap succeeds in all these ways – simultaneously embracing its links to the past while offering numerous innovations that keep gameplay fresh, exciting, and a true joy to play
  • The greatest of these novel concepts is the ability to transform from normal size down to the diminutive form of the Minish, a race of tiny people living right under the noses of the humans
  • This opens up entirely new realms of gameplay, as puzzles and even combat must be accomplished in different ways
  • When miniaturized, the smallest puddle becomes a deep lake, and the most mundane creatures become monstrous foes
  • There's a new item called the Gust Jar that allows you to suck up obstacles and enemies before blowing them back out in a burst of air
  • It's one of the cooler new power-up items I've encountered in any of the Zelda games, and adds yet another level of complexity to how you play
  • Another new ability allows Link to double himself, creating a ghostly after-image that mirrors his moves for a brief time
  • As you might imagine, this results in some clever and unique brainteasers that are a nod to the recent Four Swords games
  • In all these ways, the game challenges you to think in multiple dimensions and carefully remember details on your journey
  • A large cast of characters fleshes out the land of Hyrule, and monsters both large and small await your blade
  • To further connect you to the world's people, you will now collect items called Kinstones – broken halves of coin-like objects that can be fused with the Kinstones that other characters in the world have collected
  • By doing so, you'll open up portals, treasure chests, and secret doors all over the map
  • It's an addictive side quest that serves as a worthy compliment to the main adventure
  • One of my few complaints is that while the puzzles in the game are uniformly challenging, some of the combat is easier than I might have liked, especially against the bosses, who were often one-trick ponies requiring minimal skill
  • Even so, the fights are satisfying in their simplicity, and you have access to all the familiar weapons and techniques, including the boomerang, spin attack, and bow
  • The old and new features combine to make a game that feels both true to the Zelda heritage while offering an entirely unique experience
  • But more than any of this, the game charms you with its stalwart hero
  • This silent little boy with ruffled, messy hair is faced with seemingly insurmountable odds
  • Through him, the game establishes a hero whose pure heart and will are carrying him forward
  • All the elements of The Minish Cap (even its presence on the GBA) contribute to the idea of a tiny force for good that strives to triumph against a huge evil
  • It's a classic adventure that more than lives up to the legacy of a classic series
  • Concept:The time-honored Zelda tale retold in yet another new form Graphics:Mixing the familiar images of previous Zelda games with humorous and detailed new character designs results in an impressive success for the GBA Sound:Some of the most memorable and recognizable tunes in gaming sound great even on those little GBA speakers Playability: Responsive and flexible with a nearly perfect learning curve that moves from simple to challenging Entertainment:Like many of its predecessors – a true classic Replay:Moderate Rated: 9.5 out of 10Editor: Matt MillerIssue: February 20052nd Opinion: There's a bird sitting on my head, I'm no larger than a toenail clipping, and I've been stuck on the same puzzle for the last three hours
  • Long story short, I'm having the time of my life
  • For any of you who played the remarkable Super Nintendo title A Link to the Past, The Minish Cap will bring a tear to your eye
  • This is classic Zelda gameplay in all its glory
  • The journey is a tad easy for my liking (boss fights are a breeze), but I can't get enough of the creative puzzles and new gadgets
  • Shrinking in height to a two-pixel speck is not only hilarious, it's one of the most compelling concepts that the series has offered up in a long time
  • Minigames are also in great abundance, and you can collect over 130 different figurines that shed some light on the characters in the world (which also happens to be one of my favorite aspects of Wind Waker)
  • From its stunning visuals to its gameplay finesse, The Minish Cap is another harrowing Hyrule adventure that you'll remember for a lifetime.Rated: 9.5 out of 10Editor: Andrew ReinerSubscribe to Game Informer
