Reviews around tone (5.00 of 5)

  • I switched back to an Evah Pirazzi gold E string and no whistling
  • I play a nice German violin from 1873 (nothing fancy, but excellent tone), and have not tried these strings on a 'new' violin
  • While the tone was smooth and round, the sound didn't project well so after much research, I decided to try the Peter Infeld (PI) strings
  • On a softer toned antique instrument the effect was much less--on this violin the Evahs in some ways were better

  • I switched back to an Evah Pirazzi gold E string and no whistling
  • Price is better than other shops that I have been buying strings from.

Reviews around pi (5.00 of 5)

  • I know a luthier who disparages all my equipment, and said that PI strings lose their brilliance in two weeks.
  • These Pi's a revelation to
  • If have used the PI on three of my violins and just love them.

Reviews around instrument (5.00 of 5)

  • I noticed the same effect on an excellent but very bright modern instrument--with Evah Pirazzi strings it was very metallic and very loud under the ear, though listeners told me it sounded great at a distance
  • I switched back to an Evah Pirazzi gold E string and no whistling
  • The E in particularly is much better.

Reviews around tune (5.00 of 5)

  • The Pi's have a ever so slightly more focused sound to me than the Evahs, but nonetheless rich and powerful, and stable tuning like the Evahs, but I've been mashing chords on these Pi's for two months now and they still sound great and STILL have that immediate response I need for something like the Bach Sonata 3 Adagio.
  • I switched back to an Evah Pirazzi gold E string and no whistling
  • The E in particularly is much better.

Reviews around projection (5.00 of 5)

  • Strings are stable after 2-3days- plat tinned E string will whistle if you don't take good care of fast string crossing- Good projection

Reviews around violin (4.16 of 5)

  • I play a nice German violin from 1873 (nothing fancy, but excellent tone), and have not tried these strings on a 'new' violin
  • The Peter Infeld (G,D,A --- haven't tried the E) makes my violin sound its best by far.
  • I immediately noticed how much better my violin sounded with the Infeld Reds (again, with different E string).
  • I agree that these strings have power, but they made my violin sound harsh in certain places, particularly the A string.
  • I have a very good but not "fine violin", and I've tried Dominants, Vision Solo, Vision Titanium, Warchal Brilliant, and Evah Pirazzi on it.
