It works progressively and I found this to have a really enjoyable feel when playing Dirt 3 and GT5/6(grid 2 was a bit too arcade like for a wheel)

Generally speaking, the size is good, the feel is good, it's responsive, and it has just the right number of buttons in just the right places.

Now the wheel itself is all made of plastic and rubber, it actually has a great ergonomic feel and does not feel cheap as one might think

so it gives it a more realistic feel and quick centering, and there are plenty of buttons placed in logical places.

The wheel itself has a great feel in your hands, and the paddle-shifters have satisfyingly clicky but also somewhat loud tactile-feedback
